Huge respect for the guy. He fought the good fight. He ran the race well.
He was LOVED by our family as we listened to him for years.
AMEN!!!.....
I attended one of his services and was very impressed with his preaching, even though he was a Calvinist and I’m a Wesleyan. He kept his church open during the covid lockdown despite the local politicians’ efforts to shut him down.
I especially liked his use of traditional music in his services.
Yes, he was!!!!!
I agree on all points Fiji Hill... He was adamant on keeping his doors open during Covid.
♡♡♡♡ Another Wesleyan?! Hi.
I worked in religious broadcasting so his sermons are familiar to me.
He stood tall in the face of the theological excrement that has floated in the water in more recent times.
I have great respect for Rev. MacArthur.
Great sermons, great man of God and pushing back against California’s evil “laws” was leadership from the front like a warrior.
RIP Pastor MacArthur. you kept the faith. you finished the race.
your stand, keeping your church open, against the public health fascists of America and the world was one of the greatest testaments to Jesus ever. may God comfort your family and flock at this time of separation.
God will bless those who faithfully believe the message of Gods word. The blessing is salvation from the eternal curse of sin and death through Christ’s sacrifice, and the guarantee of eternal life with God, proven by the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
God’s work, and the work of Jesus, and God’s Holy Spirit working in the life of the believer is the temporal blessing here on earth.
Dr. MacArthur is resting with the Lord, now.
When I was a young Catholic in the 1980’s, I was hungry for solid Bible teaching and I often listened to him on the radio (along with RC Sproul, G. Vernon McGee, and Charles Stanley) and I benefited greatly from his expository style. Later, when I found out that he was sponsoring anti-Catholic ministries on his church campus, I stopped listening to him. I still respect him, however, for his biblical knowledge and principled stand on hot-button issues. May he rest in peace, and may his family find their comfort in the Lord.
He is home.
Great teacher. RIP.
Rest in Peace MAC.
Rest In Peace, John.
