I’d would have assumed she already had your phone number
I went to a Muslim wedding in Morocco. Morocco is a modern oriented moderate Muslim nation. American friend marrying a Moroccan - a very hot looking Moroccan gal who had royal family connections. The end result of that is a different discussion. Anyway, Islamic wedding so no alcohol at the reception or so you think. The presence of alcohol depended on how you defined the boundaries of the reception area. In one corner was this set of dark blue or black curtains. Behind those curtains was the bar, outside of the curtains was the reception area. Again, no alcohol at the wedding! Interesting display of cultural hypocrisy but it’s how they squared their Islamic beliefs with the circle of the modern world. In my travels I experienced other examples. Of course, if you point out this very obvious and blatant disconnect, they get mad! You are not supposed to notice. In fact, it’s a discourtesy to notice.
That’s a concern these days. One allegation can ruin a man.
That happened to a buddy of mine. Disgruntled employee, and the guy put it on his computer in his building. Not even his office. It was quite a fight to clear it all. Defamation lawsuits too.
If guilty, I’d get the rope myself.
I agree. I have zero tolerance for ANYONE doing anything to harm/abuse/exploit children. But someone claiming to be a “pastor” or “minister” is biblically to be held to a higher standard - There is no “moving on” - even with a credible “repentance”. IT is a permanent disqualification. PERIOD.
