The roman catholic church is definitely a counterfeit form of Christianity, as well as an apostate form of Christianity.
Ever since the Lord Jesus Christ founded His Church 2,000 years ago, there have been two streams of Christianity running side by side.
The True Church body has been sanctified by the Written Word, Whose Builder is the Lord Jesus Christ.
While the apostate church is made up of churches, denominations and individuals which departed from the True Church or departed from the faith of the Apostles.

Scripture was proclaimed in the first 600 years AD.
Between 600 and 1500 AD Scripture was hidden from the people.
From 1500 and 1900 AD Scripture was returned to the people Thanks to the Reformation period.
From 1900 to the present, the Written Doctrine of the church has widely been ignored. A period of time when the roman catholic church has been allowed to dominate the Body.
The rcc has a thin veneer of Truth that hides a false and fatal gospel.
While there are some fundamental truths shared between the two, there has been a departure from sound Doctrine by the rcc.
In 1545 in response to the Reformation, the catholic church elevated its teachings and traditions to be equal in in authority to God’s Word.
The Apostle Paul warned of this

Sound Doctrine cannot be combined with any other book, teaching or tradition.
The rcc has many ungodly traditions that are outside the Bible, and many of these traditions nullify and oppose the True Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
One of the first departures of the faith within the rcc, was in 431 AD with a false teaching that declared that Baptism is what regenerates the soul.
In 500 AD the sacrifice of the mass was added which the rcc continued to add unbiblical teachings to the True Foundation.

In 1190 the rcc added indulgences.
In 1215 the rcc added the false doctrine of transubstantiation, which is a belief that the priest has the power to call down Jesus from Heaven to be transformed into a wafer. Falsely teaching that the wafer becomes the physical Body of the Lord Jesus Christ.
purgatory was first introduced in 596. Coincidentally it was also in 596 that the rcc had its first pope. pope Gregory I.
In 1545 the rcc elevated the false teaching of purgatory to be an infallible dogma of the rcc.
If one “infallible dogma” were to be changed then the entirety of the system would collapse.
In 1545 the rcc elevated purgatory to be equal to the Authority of God’s Word.
In 1854 it was taught that Mary was without sin and lived a sinless life.
Which is in contrast to the Written Word of God:

In 1870 the false doctrine of papal infallibility was introduced by vatican I. And determined it to be retroactive to all previous popes.
In 1950 the Catholics begin to ask if Mary never sinned, and if sin is what causes death, then where is Mary? so this forced the rcc to invent another infallible dogma, teaching that Mary was miraculously assumed into Heaven.
These are teachings that departed from the Faith and teachings of the Apostles.

Everything these anti-Catholics throw out there has been answered and refuted over and over again. It is pretty funny that someone might imagine that in her 2000+ year history, the Catholic Church has never answered these charges. They only work on the ignorant and lazy.

Yes, it’s hilarious. And here’s three other points I find hilarious: (1) As explained in Mt 16:15-19, Jesus established A Church which most non-Catholics proclaim is “invisible”; (2) Nowhere in the Bible is there any indication that the ONE Church he established would, over the next 2,000 years, evolve into over 33,000 Protestant church denominations that currently exist around the world; (3) the sly little twisting of scripture whereby most all of those 33,000 Protestant sects (founded by heretics) conveniently disavow the entire biblical teaching on sin and eternal damnation could be considered the biggest scam ever perpetrated by the devious mind of man!

I Know one guy who lost his faith from Chicks anti catholic magazines and ended up killing himself because his new christian church said he was going to hell for being gay.

I don’t need a video to know how screwed up the Catholic Church is. There are so many examples, but I’ll just use two. They break the second commandment. They call their teacher father. Both go against the Bible.

The very fact that you would post, “The mods won’t take it down either” tells me you attempted to have this thread pulled. Why censor debate? This is exactly what the left has done through political censorship, as well as controlling the excercise of free speech through state control of media and social platforms. In contrast I would add, to the text of the First Amendment.

Actually, that’s not true. Catholics believe in works. Jesus believes in faith.
Jesus says do not do repetitive prayer. Catholics do the rosary.
You call your teacher father; the Bible says there is only one father.
You think paying money will get somebody out of this imaginary place called Purgatory.
You call Jesus down from heaven to sacrifice him over and over to eat his flesh and drink his blood.
You pray to Mary and dead saints. Jesus says the only way is through the father.
You ask a priest to forgive your sins instead of going to the only person who can forgive your sins
You have statues of Jesus and Mary breaking the second commandment.

All validly baptized members (Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:16) are the Catholic Church and the Body of Christ with Jesus as the the Head of His Church. Jesus wants all to be part of His Church and not have multiple churches with different beliefs. We are sinners on a path to salvation or hell and hopefully die in the state of grace and join God in Heaven.
He should understand and accept God’s Truth from the oral Sacred Tradition of Jesus and the Apostles that was written and passed down in Sacred Books as accepted by the Catholic Bishops at the councils as given authority by Jesus to His Church in Matthew 16:18-19 and 18: 15-18.
One can believe the Church Jesus established for our salvation or reject the words of Christ and follow their own beliefs or the words of false prophets.
Seek God’s truth with an open heart.

If one thinks they get a free ride to Heaven, then they do not understand God’s truths. Jesus love for us by dying on the cross opened the gates to Heaven for mankind, but we have to accept this gift from God by keeping His commandments through our love for God and neighbor.
As a Catholic, this post caught my eye. I started to watch the video, and at approximately 5:50 a chart was presented called “History of the Church” wherein it seems to show that ‘Scripture [was] Hidden’ from 600 to 1500 A.D.
The Catholic Church had formally determined the canon of 73 books to be included in the Bible in 382 A.D.
Jerome then worked to translate the books into a common version of Latin from the various Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and old Latin texts. That finished translation of the Bible became known as the Latin Vulgate since it was translated specifically for the common Christian to be able to read. In that agrarian, feudal epoch, working poor were not uniformly educated, and many did not acquire the ability to read.
Remember also that all this predated the printing press. Bibles were painstakingly copied, word by word, and accordingly were considered valuable for their rarity.
In my opinion, to claim that Scripture was ‘hidden’ is an anachronistic error in judgment.
