No. I think it’s about Pope Francis the Marxist heretic. He cares more about Climate Change and alphabet soup than Jesus.

I am curious if you believe(d)
in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist...

Did you believe, Murph, in the Real Presence when you left the Catholic Church for a period?

Whether you did or not, why did you leave? Were you attending the TLM or Novus Ordo when you left?

We always sat together as a family. As for the masks I wore one into church and as soon as I sat down I pulled it down to my chin. The priest nor anyone else ever said a thing.

What I’ve seen it’s the dreaded covid.... There were those who refused to come because we were required to socially distance and wear masks and then those who were terrified of getting covid...even now we’re down about 50% and the elderly have not returned.

Have to disagree with your conclusion. Our evangelical church found workarounds about communion, distributing both the bread and the wine in disposable cups. Our attendance as soon as the state-mandated shutdown was over rose back up to about 85% of pre-pandemic levels within a few months, and that was a couple of years ago; whereas the Catholic church remained shut down longer and refused communion for a very long time.

Rules is rules; but ours have to be in the Bible to be considered essential, and kneeling to take it on the tongue is not in scripture. It's highly unlikely Jesus demanded to put the bread on the apostles' tongues at the Last Supper. They were lounging around a low table.

In our town it was just the opposite. The Protestant church is closed down for over a year and then opened up and closed again.

Our diocese was only closed down 4 weeks and we’ve had communion every week. We still don’t have the wine but I think that’s the priest’s preference at this time.

Our problem is that we have a very large population of older people the younger people go to the other Catholic Church and many of them were very frightened and those who weren’t frightened were angry that we had to wear masks.

I guess it varied church by church. Hope yours recovers, and that all true witnesses of Christ reap a great harvest of souls in these troubled times.
