ANOINTS JESUS |
"Dia shábháil ar fad anseo!" | "God save all here!" |
I shall not try to talk you out of your preferences, Tom, for I quite agree.
Good Morning, Dan. :-)
Mary-Lou! See you later in the big J.
They are all wonderful, especially the stained glass windows.
Admired the beautiful manuscript page at #29-30.
#38 by Millet. He painted several version of the sower, he was great in painting the lives of peasants and his work was admired by Monet and Picasso.
Love #18 which I well remember from last year.
Good Morning Dan, and good morning to all who attend the Biblical Art University Gallery!
So many beautiful paintings, and lovely glass as well.
And what a topic! We think back when someone else sowed into our lives...
Thank You Dan!
Thank you, Alba.
So, then, you like stained glass windows?
Well said, Leon: how shall they believe if they have not heard?
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:14
Surveys reveal that every Christian was prayed for prior to salvation.

I think you’re right Dan. And did you say awhile back, that many of us need to hear the gospel 8 times on average?
I sometimes wonder what percentage will be saved ultimately?
Yes, 7-8.
We know it’s less than half.
Looks like 35 and 36 crossed over into depicting Gabriel, even with the birds at his feet.
Aside from the big storm it’s been quiet here, no snow for a a long while, just rain from that one. Nothing expected in the forecast, except warming temps. Right now it’s 33.
As soon as I saw this thread I looked out the window, and flurries started up, as with image 4.
It’s always something.
Right up there with florists named Rose, golfers surnamed Green.
Do I recall correctly that you're in Pennsylvania? It was 82° here in SoCal on Christmas Day. The reindeer said, "Not even following Rudolph", but jolly Santa inserted some logic and reminded them they fly at night, so Christmas proceeded apace.
Tissot, always Tissot!
Would be interesting, however, to depict this parable outside of its literal reference to the sower and the seed.
I’m thinking in terms of movies, or social media — good words buried by the distractions and diversions of the modern perspective. When the little today that speak good and right or God extrudes upon popular culture, there is such weak foundation for it to rest upon. I do hope efforts such as “The Chosen” are settling deeper than upon the modern dust.
Do you sense this interest is a call for you to do so?
Well Said Dan, and I second the motion. This young man may be in a unique position; one to move a great idea forward.
nicollo, what do you say?
nicollo, listen to your old grandfather now; we all need to ‘reinvent’ ourselves every so often =:^)
Psalm 138:3
In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul.
I wish I could. But I know that Jesus speaks to us daily, and in our own language and terms, but it’s hard to see — as ever.
Much to ponder here.
