"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun."

And in fact trying new and more up-to-date things is no different that repeating failed experiments of the past, but have long been forgotten. God has laid out all the answers in the Bible, and the arrogance of saying his answers are outdated and don't work in the modern world is on the same level as when Satan rebelled against God at the beginning of creation.

Mr. Bergoglio chose a strange career path for someone with such an aversion to Catholicism.

Great advice!

Or consult Blessed Saint Martin Luther’s writings.

He was a Catholic Priest and actually taught the Scriptures.

“Mr. Bergoglio chose a strange career path for someone with such an aversion to Catholicism.”

Well, not if your goal is to destroy it... much easier to do it from the inside, especially if you have the powee to affect its workings, which as pope, he definitely does.

ANTI-pope. Not the Pope. Never had been.

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH”

......Honestly, Bergoglio can’t make it any worse than it already is...

Luther was once a catholic priest who was excommunicated for heresy. He’s no saint.

He is a blessed saint, saved, sealed, and seated in the heavenlies with Christ!

Good old pope socialista faggato, perhaps he is the one that should leave the church instead of leading it into wokeness? I loved the Latin Mass and old traditions and was so irritated with the changes that had been occurring for years that I decided to simply worship the Lord on my own instead of leaving church irritated and angry. If I ever return it will be only after those like pope socialista have been removed and tradition and morality returned. That’s my opinion YMMV.

He’s no saint

Under Christ, there are only saints or sinners.

Dream on!

Do you pray to your “saint”?

All saints, except for Mary, were sinners.

Mary was no big deal. I’m Lutheran, by the way.

If he is Lutheran, no. Lutherans do not pray to saints, not even the VM. Christ instructed us to pray, "Our Father...".

It’s interesting. Bergoglio was allegedly not a particularly devout or religious boy. At age 17 in 1954, he got a job working as an apprentice at a chemicals company called Hickethier Bachmann in Buenos Aires. His supervisor was chemist Esther Ballestrino de Careaga, a Paraguayan communist who’d fled her native country. Ballestrino became a mentor to Bergoglio and tutored him in Marxism. The very next year, 1955, Bergoglio entered the archdiocesan seminary Inmaculada Concepción, and three years later he transferred to the Jesuit seminary. One is tempted to connect the dots here.

Ebb, I don’t pray to any saint - including myself - but pray to God alone.

Mary was a sinner too. She was chosen to bear Messiah by the grace of God.
