We've all complained how far down the slope this country has gone. While actually Putin brought his nation back to practicing their brand of Christianity. It doesn't matter if it's 100% accurate - we're not in how we teach it here either, but they do understand the basics of moral law - we've suppressed it.
What values? I was thinking values were highly lacking nowadays.

But Islamism, Russkyi Mir and Chinese communism are just as toxic as Western cultural imperialism, where they are exported at gunpoint or through antidemocratic interventions.
For decades many positive Western cultural exports were adopted freely by the general populations. And adapted, even by supposedly antiwestern regimes.
Bollywood mirrors the golden age of Hollywood and the Cyber industry in India has elevated millions out of poverty.
The internet can be used for good or bad, but without it Russkyi Mir would barely reach past the borders of Eurasia. Russia benefits enormously from tge culture it complains about.
Until the Islamic revolutions and Russian intervention, Iran and Afghanistan were both healthy, pluralist countries with liberal and conservative populations living side by side.
The pattern seems to be, if people are free to choose, they don’t actively go out of their way to reject the Western cultural exports. Totalitarian regimes make a huge song and dance about rejecting western values, but they’re still all driving western cars, using adapted western modern communication tools, copying western film and television...
Apart from half of Russia still being unable to compute the value of indoor toilets with modern plumbing (as a consequences of decades of Soviet information control more than anything else), I don’t see what Putin sees.
But Russia has the right to impose its values upon Ukraine, right?

Anarchists, leftists, liberals, too many Democrats and “progressives” all accepted the Russian and Chinese communist largesse - to be spent on academic, community, and media organizing plus rioting: “the unrest” of the 1960’s, 1970’s, and 1980’s.
All those socialists of varied flavors, promoting decadence, debauchery, and depravity; and, becoming “leaders” by way of threatening destruction, riots, plus dishonest and wild accusations - if they did not get their way.
The targets of all those leftist movements, unfortunately giving way over time: moral tradition and upbringing, surrendered, such that, the flotsam and jetsam of the expanding social[ist] “solutions” mess, continued to expand its way eastward - to Putin’s surprise.
Putin has not recognized, that the most effective opposition to the rotten fruits of socialism, is decent behavior and truth. That, in contrast to applications of bombardment, threatening destruction - if Putin does not get his way.
And that, also being a lesson not to be taken lightly by the globalist-enlightenment.
Socialism, proclaimed by academics to be inevitable, is actually a terminus wherein socialists tear each other to pieces, exhausting life and love.
Bottom line; Putin DID INVADE.
Neither the Russian people nor the Ukrainian people had a say in it.
Now we can let it happen or help Ukraine.

Nothing in the NATO Charter sanctions this. We are under no treaty obligation to be there. Russia taking those eastern area is ZERO threat to the US. There are at least 25 other peoples and nations that are much more worthy of the world policeman than Biden’s corrupt piggy bank. Did you watch the impeachment hearings?
