It’s a quick paced 80 minute long interview that covers many topics, the gamut of most things Catholic. It can’t be caucused as it mentions other faith beliefs-
and so it has little crossover for non-Catholics other than then personal struggles this person has dealt with.
That part of this story is undeniably common to all of us.
For the Catholic world though, it’s an informative reminder of hope and strength, regardless of how ineffective the pastoral state of the Church currently is, from the top down.
The conversion this man is having should be a wake-up call to ALL luke-warm Catholics who don’t know enough about their faith- and what they are missing in it.
To the lapsed, or fallen away Catholic, it’s a glimpse of what you are losing- or what you never knew you had.

Where were the nails hammered through Christ’s upper limbs? ... Seeking signs and false wonders?

This is an excellent interview, I shared it with many friends and family.

LOL, you think I would waste two hours on something with a false sign at its base? ... Just so you know, the nails were driven through the wrist, not the palms.

Thats the non-believers play... besides you're a Bible-alone guy..
Check out the greek- but stay within the scriptures- and resist that temptation to use some other external tradition...
believe- don't doubt...
+++“We have seen the Lord.”
But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails,
and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in his side,
I will not believe.”
26 Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house,
and Thomas was with them.
The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said,
“Peace be with you.”
27 Then he said to Thomas,
“Put your finger here, and see my hands;
and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.+++”

Totally agree... I have to admit though too...
It left me a bit envious I think...
I'm like- "How does this movie guy get to have this feeling- about my Mass?"
I want to feel like that-
It's a bit like that Frank Cross at the end of the movie Scrooged about the Christmas Spirit...
"You’ve just got to want that feeling…
And if you like it, and you want it,
You’ll get greedy for it !
Youre gonna want it everday of your life...
it can happen to you..”

Just so you know, the nails were driven through the wrist, not the palms. How do you know? Were you there when they crucified my Lord? Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
It's not necessarily that simple. And, as the article points out, the Greek word "cheir" is ambiguous, and could mean either "wrist" or "hand". Are you sola scriptura or not? If you are, then you can't insist that the wrists are the only possibility, because the Bible just doesn't say that.

I wonder, are you being purposely dishonest or did you actually not know that the ‘hand’ reference by ancient meaning is referencing ALL structure from the forearm bones to the finger tips, thus including the location of the tendons strong enough to support the weigh of a crucified man. Put a spike through the hand and it will tear out. THAT is medical information I presumed you knew. Apparently I was wrong, you are ignorant, blissfully ignorant, invincibly ignorant.

THAT is medical information I presumed you knew. What "medical information" do you have to prove Jesus Christ rose from the dead??
What medical information do you have to prove Jesus Christ cured the blind, the deaf and dumb, the lepers, etc??

It’s called physics.
Nails driven through the hands will tear out when the weight of the body is suspended from them.
Nails through the wrists are more capable of hearing the weight.

The Nail remains embedded in the cross and the weight of the victim rips the nail downward tearing through thesmall bones and small ligamentum until the weight of the victim has ripped the nail free between the fingers.
Magic Thinking is a characteristic of trained Catholics.
