I always wondered if portraying a saint on screen would change an actor... this is cool!
Bene dixit.
Why assume he can’t understand it? A lot of my friends in high school took Latin just for fun.
I grew up with the Latin Mass. There used to be a few indult masses in the area. The old Monseigneurs passed away, and now they are few and far between.
Some of the best internet was weaponized autists discovering the locations of his anti-trump flags.
Shia found God. Good for him.
No, he was literally an insane ultraleftist. One might even say that by his losing his mind over Trump’s election, it led him to God and saved his soul.
God writes straight with crooked lines.
I’m typically the last one to say anything nice about the Holly-weird crowd, but I *LOVE* this story. At a time that the TLM subculture is under siege from Bergoglio and his goons, to a have an A-list actor come out and credit the TLM for his conversion is beautiful thing. And a rebuttal to all the B.S. spewed by Bergoglio and his minions.
I guess Judaism didn’t do it for him.
Good for him. Latin mass is very uplifting.
It’s a great interview. Mr Modernist “Bishop” Barron wanted to talk about acting and LaBeouf wanted to talk about Padre Pio and Catholicism. I liked this exchange.
Shia: “The Latin Mass affects me deeply, deeply.”
Barron: “How come.”
Shia: “Because it feels like they’re not selling me a car.”
LMAO
**I like to pray the rosary in Latin.**
You don’t need to pray to Mary. Dial direct to the Father. He may confirm with an earthquake that he heard you (Acts 4:23-31).
Yeah, but those gold plated icons are probably pricey.
The saints present our prayers to God. See Revelations.
See John 15:16
Also, in Rev. 5:8 , the prayers of the saints are likened to odours, and stored in golden vials.
Rev. 8:3&4 show an angel offering incense with the prayers of the saints up before God.
Do you save emails, texts, letters, etc? God saves it all. Do you ever go back and read those things? God does.
The saints are, living or dead, those sanctified by the Spirit of God: Acts 20:32; 26:18; Rom. 15:16; 1Cor. 1:2; 6:11; Jude 1.
There’s a very popular Latin mass in NYC. BIG church, with lots of events and activities. That’s one thing we have going for us, amid all the chaos.
If you’re Catholic, or even just literate, you’d be surprised at how much of the Latin mass you would understand, even without a missal that gives both languages.
Mary is available to those who need her. Many people had unsatisfactory mothers, and she is the person they wish their mother had been.
Happy for him. It sounds as if he was really at a low point spiritually.
