“...a Church that...”
You know, I presume, that the Church, being the spotless Bride of Christ, can not and does not teach error.
Wayward priests and prelates, by contrast, can and often do.
Christ’s Church exists, always exists, is always both visible and discernable, and of course the gates of hell will never prevail against her.
Does SSPV claim it is the Church?
Thx.
Wow-2020 foresight.
The odds are they will be coughing up that shrine. Bills to pay and all that.
Re: Eastern Orthodox
1. They just had a Greek Orthodox baptism of babies whose “parents” were two gay men. (FR in last couple of days). Is this something to be concerned about as a trend?
2. As a sad Roman Catholic I do think about whether I am called to Orthodoxy and/or Eastern Rite Catholic affiliation. But how would I know how to chose among all of them? In our area alone there are Orthodox churches that are Greek, Antiochean, Ruthenian, Russian and Coptic. The Eastern rite Catholics offer Russian and Melkite rite. None of these are my ethnicity/heritage. How would I know which one to go to? Maybe the Antiochean because the service is in English? The fragmentation here really makes me sad.
3. I would like to respect Orthodoxy as alive, as leading the effort to save souls and make an impact in the lives of many globally, but I don’t see it. Where are the Orthodox universities and hospitals? The great charitable movements, the Mother Theresas ? Even if the theology is reassuring, there is something lagging here that I can’t put my finger on.
Sorry for the bad logistical situation yiu are in. FWIW, and I’m sure you know this: If you can’t practically go to mass every week because of such obstacles, the Sunday mass precept is not applicable.
Not good Bishops do not good things.
Meaning, this is a feature, not a bug.
You obviously don’t hear the voice of the Shepherd when either of those gentlemen open their mouths to speak.
Yes, scare quotes.
That’s a good question.
Certainly no priest or bishop in the ICKSP disputes the validity of JPII.
Only sedevacantists do and ICKSP are certainly not that.
Long way of saying: I do not know!
That is, 20/20 foresight.
Rare in these days of rampant sin-darkened intellects.
Although they profess to carry on the traditional pre-Vatican 2 faith, I don't think they claim to be the Catholic Church exclusively.
the Institute put a lot into renovating the beautiful church and had been rather attached to the big city HQ. What a horrible waste
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
All of the Tridentine Mass communities should simply ignore this tool of Satan because collectively they now represent the remnant of the true Catholic Church that’s been forced back to the catacombs as it were. Meanwhile, it has become perfectly obvious that the present Pope is no longer a Catholic, nor is anyone else who is attached to the Novus Ordo Conciliar church. The Conciliar Church is just another Protestant sect that was established by the Satan Council (Vatican, 1962-1965) to replace the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ. And Satan’s Pope, Francis, is now nothing more than a 21st century version of Martin Luther!
“Catholic Bashing again?”
Your Pope and his Cardinals seem to be doing a pretty good job of bashing what’s left of the RCC all by themselves.

From what I can see from online TLM directories, there are independent TLM chapels in Pensacola, Ft. Walton Beach, and Tallahassee.

There are currently seven SSPX chapels in Florida.
I shall investigate Walton. That is 60 miles and I should be able to make it some Sundays depending on my work sked. I often work 1700 to 0700 Saturday nights.

The problem is that none of them are within reasonable driving distance of northwest Florida; I think he said earlier up thread that the closest SSPX chapel is 200+ miles away.
Another cafeteria “catholic”; just like Pelosi and Biden.
