It is always amusing when someone with volumes of knowledge about Russia obtained by sucking up war porn from the Daily Mail... tries to school someone who has firsthand knowledge, family, and personal relationships, and is a true expert. Yes, Greetings_Puny_Humans we are astounded by your depth of knowledge and propaganda fueled enthusiasm. /s
You win the prize this morning:
Russia is the world’s savior?
That’s rich.
Russia should go home and worry about themselves. Perhaps if the Russian people had the least bit of a desire of freedom they would figure out their leaders have been stealing from them….well, since the Russ left Kiev for Moscow.
Someone posted a pic of the new Russian military cathedral here on FR the other day. It’s a huge edifice and heavily adorned with Christian motifs and art. One can’t imagine the US government funding a Christian church, especially in such a major way.
Russia may not be a friend of the US government, but that’s OK because the US government is no friend to me. At best I’m a useful slave to be pillaged in their eyes, and I have no illusions about my worth in the eyes of the elites once the pillaging is complete. I’ll take my allies where I can find them, whether it’s among culturally conservative Hispanic immigrants or Russians fighting That Hideous Strength.
No. A “Christian” nation that applauds its leader who poisons or imprisons his political enemies is just nominally Christian.
Sounds more like the United States who has turned its back on God and imprisons its political enemies (J6) and applauds its perverted child molesting leaders.
The titile qeastion was not about the U.S.
Poland has a better chance of that than Russia.
Interesting, because it was the Western elites' takeover of Ukraine that led to the Russian response in seizing Crimea, starting the separatist rebellion and now the full war.
My first sentiment in the war has been concern for Ukrainian citizens and their suffering, and that naturally made me unhappy with the Russian side. But I've come to the conclusion that for a stable, lasting peace for the sake of the average Ukrainian, the best outcome is a Russian victory that kicks out the Western corruptocrats and provides Russia with the security they crave. Anything else just sets the stage for future conflicts as they try again and again to restore security in "the borderlands" (which is what Ukraine literally means.)
Possibly, but only if Poland can free itself from the Globohomo Roman Church!
“Their stand against the Globohomo’s is admirable.”
I’d say Russia needs to worry about it’s own considerable moral degeneracy first.
“... first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
It was me.

And that is not the only church Putin has been building in Russia.
Banning evangelism is certainly a sign of a country being “Christian” - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Russia+bans+evangelism&t=h_&ia=web
Russia can’t even take Ukraine, it’s not saving anything, but maybe, itself.
Putin continues to humiliate the Russian people and keep their standard of living sub optimal and not up to European standarsds.
But, hey, it does have North Korea and Iran as allies.
Agreed. Additionally, Russia has historically been Ukraine’s biggest trading partner. It is no surprise that Eastern Ukraine would resist attempts to restrict trade.
Hasn’t existed in over a century
My Jewish family fled from oppression in Holy Mother Russia around the turn of the twentieth century. It doesn’t matter what religion the rulers claim to be promoting. Power corrupts, and attracts corruptible people.
Everything I said is objective and verifiable fact, which you cannot counter, hence the appeal to your alleged subjective experience and the insult.
Most mediocre indeed!
attacking free Ukraine is more globalization not less.
The Bolshevik Revolution may have been God’s judgment on Russia for the Persecution of Jews (pogroms)
