That’s why I specifically focused on those leftist movements in Central and South America. Look at the roles of the Clergy and Bishops in those movements. The Catholic Church has always had sympathy for and allied with leftist movements. In Europe, you had a Priest, Father James Chesney, who was literally an active member of the IRA and was involved in murders and bombings. Nothing was ever done with him, by anyone in the Vatican.
The problem is that any religion would have a “leader” besides Christ.
Thanks and God bless.
There are alot of people that know the Jesuits have been nothing but trouble for decades now, many within the church point out the problems they cause, and yet the whole church is still run down and painted with a broad brush.
I always thought Catholics were idol worshippers. It is the way I was raised. My Dad did not like Kennedy due to being Catholic. I feel for the Catholic Church because I think with this pope, beliefs and traditions are being questioned. Everything folks were taught is being thrown out apparently. That is not good.
“I always thought Catholics were idol worshippers.”
Probably because they are. So much for that pesky Commandment, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image “
Liberation Theology: LT was dead in Europe when Spanish Jesuits brought there Marxist theology to Latin America. It hit the southern cone hard as Argentine Jesuits took up the cudgel. The election of An Argentine Jesuit as Pope was an harbinger of hard times for traditional Catholics. And suffer they have, And suffer they will.
I remember when Popes were actually anti-communist.
But back then, Popes were also Catholic.
Is it not true that a central tenet of communism is atheism?
Its as unbelievable as a bunch of “Democrats” going full-bore totalitarian!

I'm thinking about it.
This.
Jesus Christ is the head and founder of the Catholic Church.
But in every organization, there needs to be some kind of hierarchy and leadership or the organization would disintegrate.
The task of the hierarchy and leadership in the Catholic Church is to spread, maintain, and strengthen the teachings of Christ.
Unfortunately, we currently have a bad leader focused on everything but the teachings of Christ!
Not the first time and won’t be the last. The gates of hell shall not prevail....
Is that anything like Swamp Dwellers International?
Humans come and go, but the Church instituted by Christ remains forever. The Catholic Church will suffer storms but it will never fail.
The Eucharist is the life of the world, and no one outside of those in Communion with the See of St. Peter has the Apostolic authority to invoke Eucharistic transubstantiation.
Peace.
“But in every organization, there needs to be some kind of hierarchy and leadership or the organization would disintegrate.”
Definitely not true. We don’t, and never have. Independent churches answer only to God.
“Jesus Christ is the head and founder of the Catholic Church.”
Oy!
…and anyone who does not remain a Catholic places their immortal soul in danger of being lost to the fires of hell forever.
Yes, this pope is a very bad pope; perhaps the worst in the history of the Church. Indeed, the vast majority of the modern bishops are as bad and maybe even worse in some cases.
But do not confuse the earthly leaders of the Church with the Church, herself. The Catholic Church is the Mystical Body of Christ. Her true teachings can never change regardless of the merits of Her earthly leaders. Those true teachings are professed each and every day by the priestly society of the SSPX, exactly as they were professed from the time of Christ up until Vatican II.
Whatever religious sect you belong to , (not sure it's any), was started by a LEADER.
