Serious question - let’s say we know the date is XX/XX/2021. What do we do differently today than we are already supposed to be doing?
Maybe other than calling all my loved ones and saying that I’ll see them on the other side?

1Thess.5:3 is very interesting.
“For when they shall say Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail a woman with child, and they shall not escape.”
I believe this refers to the day of the Lord concerning His coming for the Body of Christ. And not the day of the Lord concerning His second coming.
The reason I think this is two fold: first Paul’s Apostleship concerned the creation of the Body, the care of the Body, and the end of the Body on earth.
Chapter 5:9 is clear this is to the Body of Christ.
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
There is going to be a time during all the apostasy and evil that is happening all around us, that suddenly there is going to be peace and safety. I think this is going to be the point we are Raptured at. They hate our guts now because we tell them things they don’t want to hear.
These people wail and gnash at born again believer.
This *peace and safety”, IMHO, is what they are literally going to say and feel when we are no longer here to remind them of the finished work of Christ.
The sudden destruction will be the beginning of the end, the Antichrist making himself known after 3 1/2years. The first 3 1/2 will better than the last 3 1/2, but it won’t be without real problems. Why else would they follow up the Antichrist and False Prophet if the first 3 1/2 years were great?
I’ve always understood 1’st Thessaloniki 5:3 as a reference in time during the 7 year tribulation period. A time at the beginning following the signing of a false 7 year peace covenant.
The term “they” I believe is in reference to the Jewish. This correlates with the warnings in Matthew 24 warning the Jewish of birth pangs. The woman in labor (Israel) in labor pains of deliverance as a nation. With her child (the 144,000 -12 tribes of 12,000 each. The children of Jacob and the time of Jacob’s woes.
The second event will be the Second Advent. Christ is returning to save a remnant of Israel and to establish His Millennium Kingdom. When this happens will depend upon those living in Israel around that time. For Christ said, "For I say to you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. - MATTHEW 23:39 KJV
Roughly ninety percent of the Jews living in Israel today do not believe Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah. Therefore, one would assume it will take an absolute disaster such as a significant war and destruction with tremendous loss of life before those Jews at the time fulfill Matt. 23:39.
As for us, dear lady, we can all improve upon our righteousness. I'm no exception.
We only do that when we know the date? I think that’s what we’re supposed to be doing right now....because the date could be any time.
How is that different than today? Again, something we are or should be doing right now.
Nor am I.
Of course, being human, a certain date would add a sense of urgency that we aren’t always able to maintain now.
However, what we should do today is what we should do even if we knew the date certain.
A question for those who deny the Rapture....
Quite often those who are taught not to believe in the Rapture misquote Rapture scriptures and attribute them to be the physical Second Coming (at the end of the tribulation)
So if we test Scripture precept upon precept, line upon line, then we would have to question, how can we be told no man knows the hour or the (day)?
If we cite Daniel 9:24-27 we would know that exactly seven years later-to the exact day (after the signing of the false seven year covenant between the antichrist and Israel) Jesus Christ would return.
So Jesus was not speaking of His Second Coming. He was speaking of the Rapture.
Absolutely - no argument from me on that. I like your “sense of urgency” phrase. Who is doing their utmost continuously? Perhaps Mother Teresa, while she was alive, bless her soul.
Throughout scripture, you find where people were given a last chance to repent and clean up their act.
The people in Moses day had three days to prepare themselves, and then they were to gather at the base of the mountain to listen to God.
Christ many times alludes to the need to be watchful and not be taken by surprise.
Remember the parable of the Ten Bridesmaids. This is just one of many warnings.
Once the door to His Ark closes, those “left behind” will witness the Tribulation in all its fury. A remnant will be protected through it all (see Isaiah 26:20) until Christ sets foot once again on the Mount of Olive.
Matt. 24:22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.”
Now is the time for everyone to become closer to God and live as close to His word as each is able to do.
Matt. 24:13 "...the one who perseveres to the end will be saved."
This transformation will cause us to suddenly disappear to the 4D inhabitants not transformed. Once transformed into glorified bodies and behavior mechanisms (souls) we will THEN be caught up to join the dead in Christ rising into the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. The transformation literally adds coordinate(s) to our physical existence making us hyper-dimensional beings.
I believe the great lie is related to our sudden disappearance. L.A. Marzulli believes the great lie will be ushered in by the 'supposed' aliens who come down when we go up. They are actually demonic sourced not other solar system sourced. Christians maybe gathered into internment camops when the Rapture happens, but regardless, the world is going to witness a supernatural event for which a great lie must be told by the evil one who is not longer restrained (2 Thess 2 6-12).
There is a huge clue in 2 Thess 2:3 where Paul used a Greek word 'apostasia' to denote the departure. The word is made of two Greek words: apos and histemi; away from and to stand, yielding to stand away from, as in literally transformed to stand away from the 4D realm into hyper dimensional realm.
Those who already know everything will learn about their knowing nothing the hard way.
I just don’t see how it could be speaking of the tribulation. That’s not Paul’s mission for Christ. His mission is the creation, care of it, and when and how the Body of Christ will be taken from this earth.(Rapture).
I think there is a day if the Lord for the Church the Body of Christ, when He comes aaand removes us from the wrath to come
There is a day of the Lord for those going through the tribulation and His second coming.
I agree with your point, Paul being the Apostle unto the Gentiles. But everywhere Paul went he was confronted by Jews attempting to bring Christians back into bondage.
Wasn’t Paul also trying to reassure those who believed the Rapture had already come, that indeed it had not.
You could be right. Something to consider.
