You are what you think!
+7
My piece has nothing to do with New Age and nothing to do with N.V. Peele’s Power Of Positive Thinking as likely interpreted by YOU.
My view is YOU will read into a piece of writing whatever YOU want to see there ~~ even though the writer tells you that your interpretation of what he wrote is incorrect.
My view is that YOU think you know more than the writer knows about the piece the writer wrote.
Regarding your question: Your lack of knowledge of the content of the New Testament is astounding. Regarding thoughts being able to make things a reality, here are two right here:
(1) Peter had FAITH in Jesus’ word “Come” and Peter got out of the boat and WALKED ON WATER. There were THOUGHTS in Peter’s MIND , , FAITH THOUGHTS , , , FAITH IN GOD THOUGHTS , , that made it possible for Peter to WALK ON WATER.
(2) The Lord Jesus said you can SAY to this mulberry tree be uprooted and planted in the sea and it will obey you. Luke 17:6 When you SAY something to a mulberry tree THAT , , , SAY , , IS a thought that made a thing become a reality.
There are MANY more examples in the New Testament where the power of FAITH IN GOD working through THOUGHTS made things become a reality but my view is that you will DISMISS dismiss them and flip them off.
Lets see if you don’t do that.
Best Regards,
JAG
Lotta truth in that.
Thanks for the input.

Regarding your Karl Marx remark:
Did you read and comprehend this my second paragraph in the piece?
JAG Wrote:
“If that guest-in-your-mind-thought is a positive constructive Faith-in-God thought, then it will produce Faith, Hope, and Confidence, resulting in such beliefs as I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”___JAG
LOL , , that’s pure Marxism, isn’t it.
Whoever knew that Karl Marx believed that he could do all things through Christ that strengthened him!!
JAG
Scor me up Beamy.
Your own words, copied and pasted.
“When you invite a thought into your mind, hold it there, and mix sympathy with it, that idea then becomes a nurtured thought that will take root in the garden of your mind and begin to grow. At some future point that thought will take on Real World substance and effect what you physically do”
“Both Fear-thoughts and Faith-thoughts end up becoming things.”
Those are both positive confession things and positive confession is Eastern Mysticism philosophy. It is NOT Scriptural at all. People who create their own reality are mentally ill. They are out of touch with the real world.
I suppose you have not, nor do you intend to, peruse the links I posted that address the positive confession movement, which would be no surprise.
That's how it always works - everything created starts with an idea, inspiration.
The spiritual comes first, then the natural, in this world.*
People take their thoughts and make them happen, by going forward and doing what it is that they thought to do. "Faith without works is dead" is not the cryptic dogma-magnet it's been turned into by guess who, the CAN'T DO people.
Well, they nonetheless go ahead and do what they are minded to do (complain), creating doubt for starters.
Simple example: a person decides that he wants spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Then he makes it happen by rounding up the ingredients, shopping for what he doesn't already have on hand, etc. Or he digs out the menu for Rocky's take-out and makes a phone call...
And the ingredients, the restaurant, the grocery store, his phone... all of these exist because other people had thoughts and made them happen: the dream to open a mill, restaurant, or store, or to invent telephones...
Too bad you are getting hassled. It's not complicated, which is why the negative-wave generators are without excuse.
"Your sins are forgiven so can go ahead and get on up now", is the last thing that the paralyzed-by-choice-always-a-hopeless-sinner crowd wants to hear.
The whole sham is about to get zotted with the light of 1000 suns. Then when the Redeemer is revealed they'll be the ones saying, but but but we cast out demons in your name and did all manner of wonderful works in your name.
I could post the name of the obvious if I were in the mood right now to get the treatment, but why spoil the big surprise.
Americans are gonna do what they do naturally, and it's sure going to be good. Wheat full of seeds at harvest time, versus sterile, empty tares. Not everyone waving an American flag is an American. More like AmeriCains.
*1 Corinthians 15
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
Adam was the first man created by God, but then he got up and was inspired to give names to all the critters for starters. A veritable Carl Linnaeus, the "father of modern taxonomy":
"Linnaeus's remains constitute the type specimen for the species Homo sapiens following the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, since the sole specimen that he is known to have examined was himself."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Linnaeus
Ever notice how when Cain was cursed for "disappearing" his good-natured brother (ABEL was able, the one who really put thought into his gifts to God, minded to give the best of the best)...
Disgruntled Cain immediately whined that his punishment was more than he could bear.
It's like that guy who was given one single talent, yet the first thing he did was bury it on some lame reasoning about the hard personality of his boss. He blamed the guy who gave him the talent!
Loser by choice. Cain could have seen a jungle or swamp ahead and started thinking about how to move forward, but instead, oh noes. Those types can really generate some huge, personality cult followings to likewise go the way of Cain. They *want* swamps and want to create more. It's their natural "can't do" habitat.
Here's the Singing Cowboy for ya, back in the saddle again.
"He won a big part of the prize money." :)
Spiritual or natural, which came first... is like the chicken or the egg.
*It makes people think.*
Or not. Easier for the automatons to jump to conclusions in order to sling insults your way.
Thanks for the post. Have a great day!

There Is A Lot Of Love In Threads On The Internet, Isn’t There?
By JAG
The core principle of Christianity is Love. We can see the Love Principle
made clear in First Corinthians chapter 13.
Here are the characteristics of the Principle Of Love as presented in
First Corinthians chapter 13.
{1} Love is patient.
{2} Love is kind.
{3} Love does not envy.
{4} Love does not boast.
{5} Love is not proud.
{6} Love is not rude.
{7} Love is not self-seeking.
{8} Love is not easily angered.
{9} Love keeps no record of wrongs.
{10} Love does not delight in evil.
{11} Love rejoices with the truth.
{12} Love always protects.
{13} Love always trusts.
{14} Love always hopes.
{15} Love always perseveres.
{16} Love never fails.
{17} These three remain: faith, hope, and love.
{18} But the greatest of these is Love.
Threads on the Internet At Large are characterized by those 18
demonstrations of Love, aren’t they?
There is not any hateful ugly squabbling, haggling, and bickering that
goes on between Opponents inside Thread World on the Internet
At Large, is there?
Inside Thread World on the Internet At Large there is not a never
ending Cannibalistic Feast of biting and devouring one another going
on, is there? Thread World on the Internet At large is not The Land Of
The Cannibals, is it? Rather Thread World is characterized by love,
kindness, compassion, empathy, sympathy, and a charitable reading
of each other’s posts, isn’t it?
Inside Thread World on The Internet At Large, there is hardly ever
any harshness, resentment, hateful criticism, denunciation,
accusations, loathing, disgruntlement, snide and snippy one-liner
responses to posts, insults, and generally unpleasant tones and
attitudes towards everybody that disagrees with each other on most
any subject, is there?
Great point.
Thanks for the contribution.
Best.

Thank you for writing that up.
I thought you did a very good job.
I appreciate your valuable contribution.
Best.

Bad theology is bad theology and needs to be corrected.
“Thoughts End Up Becomeing Things” as the title of this thread states, is absolutely not Scriptural.
Nor is trying to manipulate someone with misapplied applied Scripture.
YOU are not the authority on what is or is not bad theology.
JAG
Thanks.

Most of us know about Luke 17:6 where Jesus
said, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can
SAY to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and planted in the sea,
and it will obey you.”
There is a whole class of passages that gives specific examples of
people whose faith-thoughts changed their reality. I have a list
~ here is just one of ‘em:
“Go”, said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received
his sight . . .” Mark 10:52
So?
So the man did in fact have FAITH-THOUGHTS , , , and his FAITH-THOUGHTS did in FACT CHANGE HIS REALITY. The Lord Jesus, did in FACT, specifically tell the man that “YOUR FAITH has healed you.” That is, your FAITH-THOUGHTS have changed your reality.
Best Regards.
JAG
PS
There are a lot more such passages in the Bible too. That was just one (1) of MANY.
``
Scripture is.
If it lines up with Scripture, then it’s fine.
If it doesn’t then it’s not good theology.
Saying that our thoughts can create reality is more in line with Eastern Mysticism and witchcraft than anything found in Scripture.
It’s too much part of prosperity gospel thinking which is just another gospel and Paul saws in Galatians that if one preaches another gospel than what he preached, they should be accursed.
Jesus didn’t talk about some so-called *faith-thoughts*.
The whole reason that faith ever tiny faith, is effective is because of the God we serve, not the bigness or littleness of our faith.
God and faith are not tools for people to use to profit themselves.
