John 8

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

"A - Good country key."

No, no error, and all you did was list synonyms.

The word “righteous” does not appear in Genesis 23; the word “right” appears in Genesis 24 twice, once as translated from Hebrew “emeth” and properly translated “true”, and secondly as a phrase “right hand” from “yamin”; no occurrence in Genesis 25 or 26. Could you be a bit clearer on what you are referencing?

America may be punished (and has been of late), but I would not say an utter destruction like what happened to Sodom would happen.

The author referenced Genesis 18, the story of Sodom being destroyed, and that use of “righteous” in that chapter, verses 23-26. Your use of the word as meaning sinless is wrong, period. You were given the meaning as used in those chapters and by author.

Bye, bye.

Yes, and all of the words in Hebrew in that chapter are “tsaddiq”. And that’s aside from the fact that there are no chapters in the original Masoretic text. Still, you referenced “Genesis 23-26”, which means Genesis chapters 23 through 26?

Given the context this word is used in the rest of the Tanakh, it has not changed its meaning to mean something different here, i.e. somehow not sinless. It is not somehow “my use”.

No, it’s your own selective meaning. I’ll stick with an authoritative source, not yours, which is clearly wrong in the context of those verses.

Brown-Driver-Briggs:

just, righteous, in conduct and character:

a. towards God Genesis 7:1; Genesis 18:23,24 (twice in verse); Genesis 18:25 (twice in verse); Genesis 18:26,28 (J) Genesis 20:4 (E), Habakkuk 2:4; Malachi 3:18.

You’re repeating synonyms again. Here, Brown-Driver-Briggs and Strongs do not disagree. Therefore, the meaning does not change.

You’re also throwing Bible verses at me again that use the same Hebrew word tsaddiq. (Genesis 19, the entire chapter, answers Abraham’s questions from the previous chapter; clearly in the negative.)

There is nothing more authoritative than the Bible itself. Seeking an authority other than God’s own word is argumentum ad verecundiam and, frankly, sinful.

Politicians, the Mainstream Media, the Naysayers, and the Pessimists do not control the world ~~ they can’t even control their mouth, much less control the world and America. It is the Sovereign God that controls the world and America and we can rest secure in that great truth.
It is an anchor for the soul in troubled times.

Best
