Do you think Jesus Christ descended into a Hell of the damned? If so, for what reason; other than to taunt them?

Or maybe Christ descended into some other "hell" Maybe like where Abraham and Moses had been awaiting His coming and eventual sacrifice to open the gates of their confinement.

"There’s no such thing as absolution from Purgatory."

What's the absolution from, then? Hell? If Catholics believe that, and that the leaders have the power of absolution, then it's no wonder the good lay people can't reform the leaders. Both the leaders and the lay believe the leaders hold the lay's spiritual gonads in their grip.
