All churches are institutions of man and man is weak and fallen.

You can go to church if you enjoy the tradition, the teaching and the music, but always remember that the people on the stage are just as flawed as you are. In many cases they are worse.

If you put faith in people you will always be disappointed. I'm never surprised when the preacher who always rages about homosexuals' turns out to be a flamer himself. Its almost predictable.

I will never forget the day I saw our pastor grab his wife’s butt. I was a young bride and it shocked me to witness the kiss she turned to give him. Of course it was all done in the kitchen of their home, I was just an invited guest who happened to walk in at the wrong moment. I knew from that day the halos given to pastors wasn’t real and they weren’t more holy than the rest of us.
I don’t look to man for my relationship with God. I will say that God has provided many a good man to present the Word in truth to me. For that I am grateful. His Word never returns to Him void.

If someone can talk you into becoming a Christian, someone can talk you out. If you respond with faith TO GOD, then HE will change your life. You must be born again, not merely of a changed mind.

Apparently the Christian Post is does not read the bible much

Psalm 146:3-10 3Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.

The writer has NOT determined for herself that Christianity is true by itself. People may tell you about Christ and be falling into sin or be deceitful and false believers. The calculating nature of RV’s sin would make him very suspect as a true believer.
She should read Matthew 7: 22-23 to see how Jesus will handle false “believers”.

Christian Post is a scandal tabloid like National Enquirer.

Their mission is to sully Christians.

There is only ONE man who every believer can trust, the man Christ Jesus. This editorial lingering is a demonic ploy to empower other men/writers/org such as this tabloid, by amplifying the sin of a man who was not Christ Jesus. It is sickening to witness but yet another sign that the end of the Age is very near. The Age of The Building of The Church is the ‘apostasia’ (standing apart from) then the ‘harpazo’ (the snatching away). The all signs and lying wonders God is about to stop restraining are one reason the Body of Christ Velievers are removed first.

A person who bases their faith on the alter of human spiritual fragility is a fool.

My default is not to trust any church leader. Trust God, and He will give you discernment as to whether a particular leader can be trusted or not. Never put so much faith in any church leader, or any human, that your admiration overtakes God’s place.

I thought the whole point of Protestantism was for everyone to explore the Bible for themselves, without priests who said that only they could correctly interpret the Bible?

Instead, it seems like a new priestly class has arisen.

In agreement with all of the posts based on “You don’t leave Jesus because of Judas”. Excellent point.

A second point is that there are hundreds of thousands of Christian leaders and missionaries, but only a comparative few cause this kind of stink. Keep your eyes on the quiet, humble servants who are the true picture of Jesus in the world, not these media personalities.

Philippians 1:15-18 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.

If I found out that my pastor was a secret sexual sinner, I would be shocked....but it wouldn’t effect my faith one bit, because my faith is not in him.

I turn to the list of people in the Bible that God used for good in spite of their weaknesses.....Judah impregnated his own daughter-in-law, thinking she was a prostitute, and both he and one of the babies that resulted are direct ancestors of David and of Jesus’ human father. Jerry Springer would have loved Jacob’s family, who sold their brother into slavery out of pure spite.
Levi helped to kill all of the men in a village to avenge his sister’s rape, yet Moses, Aaron and the Priestly line are his descendants. And so it goes. Name someone in the Bible that seems to have had it all together besides Jesus - good luck with that.

Ravi Zacharias was heavily used by God to bring people to Him despite his flaws. God uses messed-up people for His purposes because there isn’t any other kind available. So let’s remember him for that.

To the SeekAndFind:

This is a complaint against your error in posting in that you completely substituted your own composition to replace the correct and proper title of the original article as found in Christian Post, making it very difficult for anyone to locate again.

The original link and title were as follows:

https://www.christianpost.com/voices/ravi-zacharias-the-hard-questions-his-sex-abuse-scandal-raise.html

Ravi Zacharias: The hard questions his sex abuse scandal raise

By Sheridan Voysey, Op-ed Contributor
That is the correct title that you should have entered. What you substituted could have been used for Post #1 as your comment, but do not belong in the posting entry as the title.

I had spent quite a bit of effort to compose a comment, but your misuse cost me over an hour's time spread over three days trying to find the article so I could post my own reply in a timely fashion.

The article was about "Ravi Zacharias" and my searches were based on those words which were clearly in the actual title, but they were not in the title you changed it to, so I could not find it that way with the FR "Search" function.

I had to go back page after page of "Most Recent" titles, checking the abbreviated text with each one, until I finally found it through realizing that your replacement words represented the article I wanted.

Your failure to duplicate the original title unnecessarily cost me a lot of effort, including the larger part of an hour to research, write out, and post this complaint.

Please do not presume to do this again in the future.

John Crist? Vineyard in Atlanta? What did he do? I knew someone who attended his church in the 80s.
