No shock to me. We're a horny species. C.S. Lewis' take on it in Mere Christianity was basically that we're ABNORMALLY horny. There was something abnormal and inflamed about our own sexual appetites, in other words. He also mentioned in that chapter that the commandment for chastity for unmarried people was also the least popular commandment -- and he was speaking about this during the WWII era, when he did the radio broadcasts that would eventually become this book.

My two young adult sons have girlfriends I ADORE and my oldest son is now engaged to her, however they don’t stay over in my house together even though (the engaged couple) now lives together. I’m trying to present the idea that sharing a guest room in my home is a privilege of marriage, But practically speaking it only means they visit the girls’ parents homes instead and sleep over there and so I see them less often. I caught my daughter making out with her boyfriend in my house when hey were dating.

They knew that was a no no. They weren’t “doing it” but they were doing enough. I gave them a much harder time about it than it deserved.

8 years later, my son in law and I were recalling the good ol days. I let him know my wife and I laughed our butts off after they left the house. Then I asked the new Dad, (8 months old daughter) how he would react to walking in on that.

He told me that he would be a lot tougher than me.
