Amid the controversy, the priests and the parishioners at Staranzano turned to Archbishop Redaelli expecting from him to resolve the issue. The archbishop took more than four months to respond. When he did, he released a lengthy letter calling for discernment and patience.

The doctrine of the Church should be based on the Bible, and I don’t believe the Bible has changed.

Sorry, but Catholic teaching regarding homosexuality, despite the call by many, has not changed. The same cannot be said by the multitude of Protestant sects.

"Sorry, Catholic tradition now trumps the Bible."
Well, just for context...the Church did come before "Bible" and for 400 years followers of Christ did not have (or need) a bible to proclaim and grow the Church then... Tradition, as well as Oral tradition, accomplished that foundation for the future Church.
Just giving some context....

Catholicism has never followed the Bible. Those that do aren’t catholic but indeed are Christians.

Yet Christ was constantly citing scripture.

What can one expect when the pope and much of the church leadership are queer?

2/3 of Scripture existed before the birth of Christ.

For a moment there, I thought they’d actually suggest, y’know, following God’s Word on the issue.

Why not? They changed on creation and total Biblical inerrancy.

It did not.

WRONG! At the time Jesus founded His Church there was no such thing as the so-called Christian Bible. There were of course the Hebrew Scriptures, sometimes referred to as the Hebrew Bible. You should be careful about lying, because soon you will be facing the Judgement, and it may not go well for you!

How about this for context.
Check your history. The very verbiage was they RECEIVED the Holy Scriptures. Who wrote the Bible? You think the church did? Wow, the arrogance.

Second, the Scriptures - all Scripture - is from GOD.
Christ is Jewish. Christ fulfilled what was written in 2/3 of the Scripture.
Before Christ was born into a human body, the majority of Scripture was already inspired, written, transmitted, preserved, and proclaimed.
This Word is what the Jewish Apostles read, heard, preached.
It is this 2/3 of the Scripture that CHRIST explained when he opened up the minds of the Apostles to understand that HE fulfilled these Scriptures.
"Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.…" Luke 24:45-47
God has always inspired men by His Spirit to record His holy words, which predated the church on earth.
