I don’t know what his motive is. A lot of conservative evangelicals are very pro-Israel partly because Israel is a big part of their eschatology.

Then there’s preterist characters like Hank Hanegraaf who think modern Israel is no more significant than any other nation. And there’s the whole Christ at the Checkpoint crowd who act like the PLO’s public relations department.
