What "material tests" 2000 years ago would have shown that the incarnated Christ was God?
The word 'material' here means what an object is made of, and like as you have a "blood test" which reveals properties, by material tests I mean tests which reveal the nature of something. And unless you hold to some gnostic or docetist idea of the incarnation (which reasons that since God lacked a material body, therefore He could not physically suffer), then you should hold hold that all tests which would reveals what the body of Christ materially was would reveal it to be genuinely human. If your objection is the terminology, you are welcome to improve it. Thanks.
