But there’s another, more profound reason Satan hates being defeated by Mary: She is his(Satan's) replacement in heaven. I never thought of it this way but
it certainly would be the pièce de résistance,
served cold even.
Satan must now and forever view the station
for which he was made

I never thought of it this way but it certainly would be the pièce de résistance Especially when you consider how often we're accused of "worshipping" the BVM!
