Does that story open your bible or something?

Your bible seems to open and close with Genesis. I call that cherry-picking.

“Your faith has made you safe”???

What a terrible translation.

But I guess Cathoilcs just cannot admit that Jesus really said that her faith saved her. It would destroy the whole basis for their works based religion.

If you had been following thread you would have understood faith in touching a piece of cloth was the subject.

“Does that story open your bible or something? Because Genesis was true millennia before chrstianity ever existed. ” Christ is the alpha and the omega.

Roman Catholics put their faith in Christ.

They put their faith in Christ + the Commandments + having to believe the Marian Dogmas + having to believe all the dogmas issued by the pope + having to comply with certain "days of obligation" + whatever else Roman Catholicism has deemed necessary for salvation.

So no...the Roman Catholic does not place their trust exclusively in Christ in contradiction of revealed Scripture.

Honestly, I don’t think you were ever a Catholic. And all you do now is post silly cartoon characters

I wish I could say that I was never a catholic. Unfortunately, I was. I went to St Mary’s grade school, and St James high school.
Now, I have assurance of salvation. It’s a beautiful thing. If you don’t, I fail to see where that is my problem. I wonder if you plan to have a eternity? I do. 😁😇😊👍🤣🙃👋

Good thing it’s not an article of faith!

I went to St Mary’s grade school, and St James high school.

They did a very poor job in catechism then. Is that where you also learned how to post cartoon characters?

So no...the Roman Catholic does not place their trust exclusively in Christ in contradiction of revealed Scripture.

Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matt. 16:17-19)
It is not the Catholics who contradict Scripture.

Context ebb...context....the passage you cited doesn't say what you claim. Keep trying though.

Now, to the passage you posted from Luke 7:50...pay close attention. Jesus said her FAITH had saved her. Once again, the DR has the poor translation of safe for the Greek verb sozo.

The word conveys the following meaning:

4982 sṓzō (from sōs, "safe, rescued") – properly, deliver out of danger and into safety; used principally of God rescuing believers from the penalty and power of sin – and into His provisions (safety).

[4982 (sṓzō) is the root of: 4990 /sōtḗr ("Savior"), 4991 /sōtēría ("salvation") and the adjectival form, 4992 /sōtḗrion (what is "saved/rescued from destruction and brought into divine safety").]https://biblehub.com/greek/4982.htm

The same word is used in the other passages but the context of those passage is different than this one and that's the key to properly understanding this subject. Now, contrast the difference in this passage with the others you posted where the people were healed from an illness.

However, this still does not justify your wearing the brown scapular in a false hope of escaping the hell fire.

All of these incidents put the attention on Christ.....the apparition put the attention on itself primarily.

You need to understand that and then throw away that false idol you're wearing.

As noted in another thread...the Douay Rheims is the only one of the major translation to render the passage in this manner. The word in question does not support the DR translation.

You are as ignorant and stupid as your buddy. That you are also illiterate now is obvious.

Proving once again my observation it is the Roman Catholic who usually, though not always, is the first to resort to the personal attack and/or profanity when the argument is against them.
