I’ve heard about this kind of thinking for women who have abusive husbands.
I find it ironic that the women are always counseled to stick it out and pray for their husbands.
I don’t ever see much talked about about a woman going to her church leadership and the church leadership addressing the issue with the man.
I heard one black pastor once tell about his small Texas town where in the church he grew up in there was a man who was beating his wife.
The elders of the church went to him and told him that it was wrong and had to stop. And if it didn’t, they’d deal with it.
Well, it happened again, so the church elders paid another visit. Beat the snot out of the guy.
He never beat his wife again.
You know more people in society just need to do that.
There’s a big difference depending on which end you are on, whether the dishing it out or taking it.
Sometimes it’s good to know how the other person feels.
