How many churches fail to help us to understand the bible, the gospels and what Christ was trying to tell us? Their sermons often if not always, are telling us how to live, what to eat, how to vote or not vote.
Those on the far right try to tell who to vote for and how to live our lives not based on the gospels.
Those on the far left tell us how to live, who to vote for, and what current Social Justice issue is important. Of course the gospels are not even covered in those churches.
Members with families face obstacles on about every Sunday with the Sunday sports with practices and events held on Sunday. These sporting events make it basically impossible for families to attend church on Sunday, if their children are involved in sports.
There are many other issues involved:
The most critical one maybe a simple one.
Does your new pastor, reverend or priest really believe, in God, Jesus and the resurrection?
Does your long time pastor, reverend, or priest still believe in God, Jesus and the resurrection?
Or are they just social directors for your church, getting paid very well and earning a heck of a retirement package?
If they don’t believe, what damage can they do to the membership of a church in a short time?
Good. We don’t need religion. We need Jesus.
MAGA includes making America godly again.
Here in the Ozarks, revival is percolating continuously. Our church had an explosion of attendance last year. A year later, those looky-loos are gone (having gotten their bite of the apple), and the core is still there and stronger than ever. The people that remain are there because they want to be there. I do worry for those that looked for a few months, then left. A church home is critical to your personal walk with Christ, and a place to recharge while the world tries to suck the spiritual life out of you.
Disclaimer: I used to openly revile church and it's organized institutions. I'm back after nearly 20 years adrift.
Religion is failing because churches have been taken over by leftists. The left hallows out every insistution they consume bit by bit.
Of course. We’re a pagan society with godless values... with the same inevitable results.
And as Religion fades in America so does America.
wise words indeed
“A wise man once observed that while belief in God after the Holocaust may be difficult, belief in man after the Holocaust is impossible. The choices before us are clear: we will either seek a transcendent moral law to which we will all submit, or we will seek our own personal and societal indulgence. If we turn to God in our quest to create a moral and just world, we have a fighting chance; if not, we are doomed to spiral into the man-made hell of the human jungle.
Rabbi Moshe Averick”
But did not in Hebrews we are told not to neglect the fellowship of other believers.

Amen!
Amen!
Amen!
The faithful will prevail. Stay strong. Stay focused.
When they have fallen and blown away, the Godly will remain standing!
"If any one thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this man's religion is vain. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." (James 1:26-27)
"If a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn their religious duty to their own family and make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God." (1 Timothy 5:4)
"Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory." (1 Timothy 3:16)
"For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people." (2 Timothy 3:2-5)
When most people say they don't like religion, what they really mean is legalism. Religion can be good and praiseworthy. Legalism is always bad.
Then you and I are in agreement.
Glad to hear that! :)
