The Church of England is as dead as Henry the VIII

Thanks. I take it that this article’s author, nor COE, did NOT include said research/results in their article.

Can’t have facts getting in the way of their “findings”.

More than two-thirds said they had chosen to do so because they believed their sexual orientation to be “sinful”. Just under three-quarters were under the age of 20 when they began conversion therapy.

Well they would be wrong.

Acting on their sexual orientation would be sinful (mortally so).

This headline plus the “let’s have ceremonies for sex changes” means they’ve become the church of Social Justice.

So maybe we should also ban treatment for other kinds of mental illness? And also treatment for drug dependency?

The problem is that people are letting their sin identify who they are.

I don’t see anyone going around bragging about or coming out, about being a serial adulterer, a thief, an extortionist, a gossip, a drunkard, a glutton, a braggart.

Nobody goes around calling themselves a *Christian adulterer*, *Christian extortionist*, *Christian alcoholic*, etc.

But when it comes to homosexuality, it becomes a source of identity.

If they are Christians, they struggle with the sin of homosexuality, but their identity is in CHRIST, NOT their sin.

People who name the name of Christ need to stop identifying themselves by their sin.

Excellent points. The world offers all sorts of ways to “self-identify,” but none of them, whether sinful or simply accidental, are a Christian’s true identity.
