Wasn't that electrifying when Chaplain Black referred to that scripture in yesterday's National Prayer Breakfast? I was shouting praises in my comfy chair here!

Praise be to God that there are weekly prayer meetings and Bible study in DC.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We praise You for who You are! Thank You for not leaving us in our sinful and depraved states. Thank You for Jesus who took on the task of atoning for our sins so we could be united with You. If You never did anything else for us, You would have done enough. Draw more folks here to Your Church at Free Republic so we can grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus and worship You. Give us the exceeding joy that comes from being in Your presence. Ignite a burden in our hearts for the lost and dying all around us. Let us not be content with our current positions of the world, but be drawn by Your power into living stones fit together as You see fit, doing greater things than we ever dreamed possible.
