Here's where you're absolutely delusional. You actually think you're follow the Bible? When in fact you ignore 99% of it because you have no clue of the importance of the 99%.

If you were teachable, if they were teachable by the Holy Spirit it would lead them to a living prophet, like the ones spoken of in Rev 11.

You're not lead by those prophets because you don't think it's important. But you will...Jesus' own words. At the judgement He will show you the prophets you rejected and you will watch as those prophets are lead into the kingdom of God, while you are cast out. Luke 13.

I think it's an interesting discussion, but I'm not trying to convince you. I do enjoy the scripture search that I do when posting. But convince you, nah.

What little? I admit to not believing that the Song of Solomon in the OT is scripture. Hows that? But I'm still not sure what your point is?? Just because they kept what little scripture they allowed us to have fairly intact doesn't mean they are right.

The RCC founding fathers choose which of all the writings of the prophets they would allow to be considered scripture. With one huge problem:
Amos 3:
7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

God didn't choose which books were in the Bible, men did on their own. If God would have done it, it would have been done through a living prophet just like the prophet Amos said.

Most of the writings of the Bible are written by prophets and are usable. God knew about the Bible's coming, who put it together, it's effect on people, the calamity it would cause...But God knows all. The Bible alone has caused the creation of thousands of denominations... it's chaos. God had prophets all over the world and they wrote their stories down just like the ones in the middle-east did. He had a living prophet compile a list of scripture which would take away the chaos. The Bible with the Book of Mormon leads to a single path.

God dictates to man. Man will never dictate to God. Therefore, the Bible no matter how good it seems to be, can never be the only scripture like the rest of "Christianity" claims it is. Because the list of writings chosen to be in the Bible, were not chosen by God. That was men trying to be God.

So in order for God to deliver to man a list of scripture He wants the true Church to follow, it would have come from a living prophet, just like Amos said, "...God will do nothing, but...".

Following good logic, a sign of the true Church then would have to be new scripture.

If you doubt me, then you'll have to come to grips with the fact that in Rev 11, the true prophets John spoken of, will be prophesying and their prophesies are communications from God and are themselves scripture. There's going to be new scripture no matter what.... so your Bible only belief is already DOA.

For me, I’ve come to the point of view that God and Jesus are not as actively involved in ensuring our (believer / non-believer) fate is just and reasonable.
Far too many completely innocents killed in horrific wars for example.
As Gordon Lightfoot put the question so well in song:
“Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the
Gales of November come early?”

I do believe biblical prophets seem to have uncanny insight as to future events, and we seem to be tracking “end times” event prognostication.
And Jesus’s instruction couldn’t be more sound.
However - my faith has been diminished.
Final straw: Christians being raped, beheaded and burned alive by the many thousands by Satan’s muslim monsters, has convinced me that such horrific injustices and senseless slaughter of god’s faithful, indicates fatal detached stewardship by the god martyrs follow.

We see the horrific things men do to others. We despair that God must be inattentive or detached or, just 'not there'. BUT ask yourself who would be setting the agenda in the Universe if God was in the business of immediately reacting to every evil satan inspires in men?
The God Who created it all is able to making all things work together for Good, to them who are the called according to His purposes. The hallmark of the Church Age is the Grace of God to ALL who faithe (the verb form) in He Whom God has sent for our salvation.
We in fleshly bodies believe we comprehend the nature of Time. Yet we have a very poor understanding of that dimension God Created. We experience nothing in the actual present of the event, only in a past orientation to the event, as we collect data based in an electromagnetic spectrum, then use a virtual mapping to construct (or reconstruct, if you will) a mental running reality.
But what if there were another spectrum we cannot sense now because we are limited to three variables of space and our past-to-present orientation in Time? If you will accept it, our soul exists in a different orientation to the universe than our physical bodies. Our soul (mind, will, and emotions) use an interface to gather data, made possible by the Life that is IN the blood. When resurrection happens (or the change to those alive at the time), Life of the Physical body will not be 'in the blood', we will receive our life sustaining from God, His more dimensionally direct Presence. [If that concept is confusing, I will be glad to explain it as I have been given to comprehend it.]
Despairing that the God Who IS is not attentive enough, is at once an arrogant assumption that we know so much as to comprehend the virtual reality our fleshly bodies persist in. We presume what we sense is all that is. But the Bible (if you will believe it enough to be instructed by It) shows us there are realities we are not now equipped to sense. We exist within sensing limits that do not permit the folks in Palace Party central (Daniel 5) to see the being to whom was attached the hand that appeared and wrote upon the wall there in Babylon's palace.
Point is, if satan can rope God into reacting to all the evil satan can bring to pass within our limits well, then it is not God running the Universe, it would be God reacting to what satan is running. BUT, because God has planned out the scenario from the start (He makes no plan B), satan is muddling about through out human History, instigating evil deeds by men and women, trying to second guess God. Yet we have a program guide to the over-arching plan of God. EVERY individual who has ever lived is known to God. When He resurrects those who died two thousand years ago, He will not have to consult a DNA pattern on file somewhere or digital data stored for millennia in preparation of the events.
If we believe the Bible, that ALL things work together for good to those who are the called according to His purposes, then reanimating newly created bodies at the Rapture, or mid-way in the Tribulation with two human witnesses dead in the street of 'Babylon the great', or at the end of time we now sense, well that reanimating is a sure thing. He called entire worlds into existence. He spoke the Universe into existence.

No matter how much evil satan can cause to be, he cannot tempt God into be a 'reactor rather than Lord of all'.
