Investigating anyone that declares there are only two genders is stupid. What determines gender is the division of either XX or XY chromosomes in the DNA of a person. This is not a biblical observance. It is a scientific one. And for a college to disagree with a scientific observance is almost hilarious if it wasn’t so inconsistent.with their anti religious stance in most major colleges.
The X chromosome is necesarry for certain functions, whereas the Y only provides for testosterone production and sex characteristics. So without an X the baby would be missing important information.
If you managed to engineer YY it would self-abort in utero, which is what happens if you just have a Y (there are circumstances where the X doesn’t split properly in the egg cell and so the baby only gets an X/Y from the dad).

I don’t believe it....
Maybe 50 or more times as I was growing up, I was asked:
“Hey, what if someone like the Nazi’s were taking over..? Lessay you saw people being pushed off the sidewalk, or you heard dark rumors of CERTAIN TYPES OF PEOPLE suddenly disappearing —what would YOU do...?”
And I was always sure that here in the USA half or more of all people wouldn’t stand for it.
They’d resists —they’d speak out.
BUT HERE WE SEE MAYBE WE’RE NOT SO DIFFERENT..?
At the very least now I understand how the German media didn’t let out a peep.
Cuz OURS certainly isn’t.
Liberal fascism now has its own police force.

Thank you.
Sex, not gender. Living things don’t have gender.
T-rump won’t lift a chubby finger to help our side with this stuff.
I’d recommend this lady talk to an attorney who could take legal action against the school on a contingency basis. I think being deprived of your livelihood is a “sueable” offense.
Wouldn’t it be nice if people who tried to distort the second amendment got this kind of treatment. (Actually I don’t want any dissenter treated this way, but you get my point?)

Two Thumbs Up for stating the facts in your posting!!
That a Catholic school punishes a professor for holding Catholic views is insane.
The one in ten thousand biological errors that can be corrected surgically do not violate the male/female binary for the species.
And the one in ten thousand mentally ill who want to cross-dress for sexual pleasure or severe dysphoria don’t violate it, either.
There is a “Bias Incident Response Team”?
That’s hysterical !!!!!!!!
.
tbw2,
Both of your examples are not a true gender. they are a sociatale choice of words. There has never been a birth of a gender that is considered outside the XX or XY DNA designation that has survived. The term of gender is defined as I typed it by every dictionary I looked it up in, and every scientific report I read.
There are two ways to define gender, either the way I wrote it, i.e. DNA designation, or any society trying to create something that doesn’t exist. Just because a person wishes to cross dress, doesn’t make them another designation of gender. Just that they are a gender trying to be something else. But that doesn’t change their gender. Just their opinion.

Romulus,
John Money was, as far as I know, the one who first tried to find a name to label another kind of differentiation, that being (at least in simplistic terms) whether the individual experience was of being masculine or being feminine. There were people who declared, e.g., that they were “a man in a woman’s body,” or vice-versa. Money wanted to save “sex” for questions about whether the body was possessed of ovaries or testicles, and so forth. He wanted a term for, e.g., the individual with testicles whose inner experience was of being feminine, of being a woman. He latched onto the term gender, which had previously been exclusively a term in grammar.
Milton Diamond, M.D., at the University of Hawaii is probably the individual most highly regarded in discussions of the difference between sex and gender, how gender is determined, how gender is signaled in specific societies by items of clothing, hair style, posture, language, etc. However, I think credit for first differentiating the two categories and naming the new one goes to John Money.
Sorry about the length, but there are a lot of “opinions” based upon a linguistic term. And remember, the term “native American” wasn’t invented until the 1940’s, but they’ve been around a whole lot longer than that.

That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the systematic sidelining of the word “sex”, as if it (and its biological referent) did not exist.
Romulus,
On that we do agree. But to create a smoke and mirror, the application of the word sex has been tossed by people trying to manipulate the system. The tern gender has been recreated to engulf sex, for the purposes of rights that do not exist or are no different. It is a catch all phrase to use to change opinions (And in many cases, the laws) Like I said, the first Americans wee here a long before they needed a word to engulf them, whether they wanted it or not. They didn’t always agree with tribes bordering they hunting grounds. But they didn’t recreate them either. Perhaps they had a better idea than todays scholars and think tanks.
