Trump said he would let some in legally. Letting people in legally is way different than letting illegals cross the border at will and then letting them stay and get special benefits, aka “amnesty.”
I knew you’d twist like a pretzel to defend him on something you’d denounce Cruz for. You’re in a cult.

Excuse me? Trump at no time has advocated amnesty. I am not, in fact, "twisting like a pretzel" to defend Trump; his position on the matter of immigration is quite clear (read it yourself at www.donaldjtrump.com).
It is, however, incredibly difficult to determine whether Cruz supported amnesty or not. The Google results are all over the board on that. One article indicated that he supported the amnesty bill, but only if he could attach riders to it. So, does or did Cruz support amnesty? We don't know.

Trump does several things well.
1. Coin linguistic kill shots against opponents that are catchy and memorable.
2. Go all-out vicious against anyone who criticizes him or his policies.
3. Use extensive a-b testing through his army of Macedonian trolls to see what sticks.
4. Propagate the meme through trolls to the poorly educated followers in the US who are unable to unhook because they are enamored with the damage Trump’s kill shots do to people they can’t stand.
At the same time, he maintains “flexibility” on every single position he takes, where he ends up being a hot mess of contradictions. Sometimes this emerges in just a single interview.

I ran it through Microsoft Word's reading-comprehension evaluator, and it ranked it at the 12th grade reading level. I'm guessing because it has too many syllables.
