Finally you have seen the truth....that's exactly what happens.
Why, in a Christian discussion, do you bring up fringe non-Christian groups who have no bearing on anything???
...the priest brings Christ down from heaven, and renders Him present on our altar as the eternal Victim for the sins of man - not once but a thousand times! The priest speaks and lo! Christ the Eternal and Omnipotent God, bows His head in humble obedience to the priest's command. You forgot to bring it from the post where you got the easy part.
Which is blasphemous heresy also.
If you have a god that bows down to a priest, it is not the God of the Bible.
But then Catholicism worships the same god as Islam does, and Allah has no son.
TC: Finally you have seen the truth....that's exactly what happens.
So Christ is sacrificed again and again and again and on and on???
Because we’re discussing non-biblical practices of catholicism. Mormons look to other sources as do catholics that are not supported by the Word m
And He promised the CATHOLIC church to be with her until the end of time.....I can handle that!!
Of course claiming a catholic priest has the power to continuously sacrifice Jesus and feed His body, blood, soul, and divinity to adherents in a wafer contradicts the Bible on many levels.
Like Mormonism, catholiciism takes a couple of passages from scripture out of their context and ignores several passages which refute the out-of-context misuse. Catholiciism even ignores Jesus's own explanations of the bread and wine REMEMBRANCE of what He would accomplish Once for all, for ALL time on the cross the day after He fully revealed the Passover Remembrance. And teaching these blasphemies as the heart of Christianity is nothing if not bold, demonic, but bold.
But catholiciism as it stands today so one would expect to find all manner of strange non-Christian dogma in the ism you endorse, much as we can find all manner of blasphemies and heresies in the ism of Mormons, and they are a devout people!. And so we find Mariology, the repetitive prayers, purgatory, striving to obtain Salvation, and my personal favorite for non-Christian religions, indulgences, all conjured up by catholic leadership but not by God's guidance. And there is so much more!
Only Mormonism is a more non-Christian, faux Christianity than catholiciism, but Francis the talking mule is not done yet so your religion may get the prize from the anti-Christ in the end.
I wonder, do catholics REALLY have the nerve to contradict Jesus when they assert He was/is their victim? Jesus told them ‘No man takes my life.’
I’m so glad I’m not your neighbor. Or do you not allow Catholics in your neighborhood?
We have to hand it to those who are bold in their ignorance. If it were not so alarming to see such heresies it would be entertaining to count the conflations in motion.
If you are married and you deny your spouse sex, do you not consider that wrong?
God does.
1 Corinthians 7:3-5 The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
LOL how loving of a catholic to presume such spittlegeist.
Grasping for straws is demeaning.
Ridiculous that you interpret this as having to do with Mary.
Not as creepy as Catholics who think she would have sinned if she had had sex with Joseph and so she didn't.
And not as weird as Catholics thinking that there's something wrong with Mary having sex with Joseph after Jesus was born.
Yeah, after 2000 years of dedicating their lives to the study of scripture, what could they possibly know that you, who read the bible and self interpreted it doesn't know.....sigh.
There is no evidence that Paul had Mary and Joseph in mind when he wrote 1 Corinthians 7:3-5. Moreover, Paul permits abstention from marital rights by mutual consent in 7:5.
Why? Were not she and Joseph married?
Sex was GOD’S idea.
HE gave it to married couples for intimacy and procreation.
Was Mary not human that God’s design for marriage should not apply to her?
Only for a short period of time for the purpose of prayer and fasting.
Claiming anyt6hing beyond that is misinterpreting Scripture.
And Paul didn’t write that, the Holy Spirit inspired it and is the actual author.
So why would you think that Mary and Joseph, as a married couple, should be exempt from God’s design for the marriage and family?
Why would it have been wrong for Mary to have sex with Joseph?
That seems to be the catholic position though.
