They just fuss over who should be the TRUE leaders of "The CHURCH" that Christ established.

So what...their churches are in communion with other...they'll figure out, one of these days, that the Pope is their true leader....won't be long now!.

"children" getting into "trouble" are not committing sin...sin is an intentional act against God....kids don't do that.....usually.

Otherwise Mary would NOT have been needed to make SO many earthy appearances to correct and modify the behavior of the members of the church that her son established.

Not all that many, and we are expected to go to church EVERY week (at least) to keep ourselves up to date....what do a few apparitions have to do with that???

Seems to me that I recall reading somewhere that God forbade the making of images and bowing down to them and serving them. But that’ll never be addressed.

Since you are referring to a teaching by The Lord Himself, to Nicodemua, perhaps you should look it up in John 3, and follow the trail back to the Torah and learn the lesson Jesus was teaching? If they disobey their parents even once, they have sinned against God by disobeying HIS commandment to them.

Bowing down before graven images is bowing down before graven images.

Catholics can try all the hair splitting and redefining of words they want, but bowing down can be plainly seen and it’s plainly obvious that it’s breaking the second commandment where God forbids bowing down.

Kind of like Jesus saying to call no man *Father* here on earth and Catholics do it all the time and make all kinds of excuses and justifications as to why they don’t have to obey a clear, direct, unequivocal command of Jesus.

Oh so denominations first started when the Orthodox Christians refused to recognize the Catholic pope and the Orthodox claimed that the Latin branch, Catholicism, was seeped in heresy. The Catholics "protested" against that and thus became the first "Protestants"--according to your way of thinking.

(Pretty valid argument from the Orthodox Christians seeing what Catholicism believes today)

Well TC, since opinions are being posted here, and yours is just an opinion. I disagree with your opinion. Big surprise there huh,? My opinion is, it simply means that when people reject our preaching on becoming born again in Christ by faith, we can tell them their sins are retained. It really is that simple. Mortal, sinful human beings can not do anything for anyone's sins, for or against. You may not like that, so be it.

The only thing I care about, however, is that I want to know how people intend to bluff their way into Heaven. Nothing else really matters.
