atheists , the other kind of Muslim
If they put Darwin’s book in, they should use his full original title:
On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life
And on the back cover, put endorsements from Hitler and Marx.
put want in one hand, and crap In the other and see which one gets filled up first
Don’t they have enough indoctrination centers in public the schools and universities? Last time I looked, hotels are privately owned and can leave any book they want in their rooms.
If God does not exist, why are the atheists afraid of having Bibles in hotel rooms?
The hotel industry is not owned by the government so they can do whatever they want—it is none of the atheists’ business.
But as we have seen all to often in the last 20 years, we start with a ridiculous premise, and the pressure never lets up until the object of the pressure caves.
NO MORE!
I believe the history of a bible being in a hotel room started with the Gideon bible group giving them to hotels for free. If some atheist group wants to spend the money to print up Darwin’s origin of the species and distribute it to hotels for free they can do it.
Atheists will get their way, because the judges in this nation are too stupid and PC to admit this is substituting one Bible for another bible. ... The Republic is doomed.
Atheism is a religion. It has faith in beliefs.
Ok. Let the atheists pool their money, print millions of copies of whatever they want, and distribute it for free to hotel chains.
Can FReepers make atheists a list of better ways to spend their time besides bullying hotel managers to remove Gideon Bibles from hotel rooms? Social Darwinism comes to mind with this Bible project.
I do not have a problem with Bible-free hotel rooms if atheists buy the hotels. Otherwise atheists have no business telling hotel owners how to run their hotels.
I understand that it’s because of all those burn injuries they receive handling the Bibles.
The original purpose of the Gideon Bible program, as I understand it, was to supply comfort and guidance to lonely men on the road who might be likely to err or despair in the soulless confines of yet another drab hotel room.
I doubt such travelers will take much comfort or guidance from “Origin of Species.”
And there is a big difference between “proselytizing” and providing a Bible for those who may want it.
For every loudmouth “freethinker,” I’ll bet there are 10 Christians, and probably 100 people who don’t care one way or the other.
So stuff it.
Creationism and Darwinism are not mutually exclusive. They actually dove tail nicely.
The Gideons don't charge for 'em, so they're free!
But you perpetually offended types are perfectly free to leave Charlie's book, too to help folks understand WHAT God did to create the world as we know it today.
Uh huh.
“The leech has two daughters: Give! And Give!”—proverbs
Atheists won’t just not believe: they have to be obnoxious about it.
Atheists seem to fear something they believe doesn't exist. Confusing.

Hummmm, why would you replace the greatest selling book of all time, the bestselling book every single year, with a book you can’t give away and virtually nobody outside of a classroom reads?
Unlike Origin, which teaches social justice and anti-racism.[/sarcasm]
Ever notice that atheists and lefties who attack the Jewish Bible are never called anti-Semites? That's because most idiots refuse to recognize the Bible as a Jewish book ("because we all know that Jews are liberal").
