Which is somewhat ironic that lefties worship them; since from what I have read. With the exception of fat drunken slob Teddy; I always got the impression that JFK was rather conservative. I could be wrong about this.

Because JFK is something of a secular saint among Dems, and since they have absorbed the myth of “Camelot”, Repubs like to point at JFK as agreeing with them on whatever works at the moment. They do the same thing with FDR.

Also, frankly, most Repubs have themselves absorbed the myths about both these guys, each a disaster in his way.

My furnace broke Sunday morning and I had no heat until a handyman came. No one in the furnace world works on Sundays but my handyman came at 6:00 P.M. to help. He makes his own hours and is extremely busy. I got his name from the local hardware store which I've been going to since the dawn of time. The handyman put in a new thermostat and all was good.

Then this morning the NEW thermostat went belly up. I've been on the phone a lot since then. I can get the next appointment for December 13 with a FURNACE guy. One guy said to call him tomorrow morning for any possible cancellations. The handyman is coming again at 6:00 P.M. to jerry-rig it again.

So, I've just been very distracted.
