They were pregnant and scared. Abortion seemed to be the answer to their “problem”. Maybe they were unwed, maybe they were married but felt they could not afford the baby. Who knows? Either way they doubted God and had the abortion. Yes this happens to church going women every day.
#1...if dismembering our offspring is tantamount to say...smoking...our culture is indeed in trouble.
#2...Murder not done out of passion is quite a deliberate matter ...usually NOT spur of moment decision.
It usually begins w/ a posture of I am not going to love my preborn neiGhbor as myself...hence...why should I love my own?
IoW its a decision beGun well before a mom knows she is preGnant.
Tis all rooted w/ a conclusion culture wide that we wont love the least of these our bros and sisters in womb...a worldview/philosophy developed well b4 pregnancy & fear arrived.
I never implied what you are suggesting. I said that at the time of repentance, the sinner must make an honest commitment not to break that commandment again. Have I ever failed in that regard? Of course; we all have. The point is whether or not the attempt is sincere. The fact that Christ’s grace is endless is the only thing that will ever make that balance scale come out even. Flaunting the atonement process is to mock God.
