You can absolutely believe what you want to believe...I'm here to carry out this command:
2Ti_4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
to help others from falling into the trap of your religion...
How is it that I always feel attacked by you then? I don’t consider it your job to tell Catholics anything.
Thanks!
They have been getting worse here. One of them was really excited about a child being molested, because he was able to spew his hatred at the Church. When I called him out, out of my own disgust, he summoned the mods pretty quickly. My post did not violate the rules; I simply pointed out how disgusting he is. I think one of them is a religion mod. It was pretty obvious that they did not want thier real feelings called out.
I hear you, the deck is stacked. But I am here for you. We know what we know!
Sorry to interject but it's important to remember that the default belief system of the protestant begins with a negative proposition. It's not that they are for Jesus but they are against the Catholic Church.
They can quote all the scripture they want about how in they're rebuking their Catholic brethren (when they even bother to acknowledge we're members of the Body of Christ and most of them cannot agree on that) with the truth of Sacred Scripture but we know that's a lie.
Which is why any response to your question will more than likely be some variation of, "Truth hurts. Suck it up." In the end there is no charity there. There is no love and that's how we know they are not of Christ.
Good points and I will bear this in mind from now on. Thanks!
You're welcome. And may the Peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you. Or are you one I should say, And with your spirit?
LOL! If you're asking if I'm a priest then the answer to that is no. I went through my period of vocational discernment long ago. God said, "Thanks, but no thanks." :-)
:) I did as well. God laughed a lot!
I think I would like to read a book about his whole conversion story, not so condensed or "truncated".
“...Catholics refer to their religion as home...”
Wrong. This is a completely false statement.
Direct quote from the Requiem Mass:
O God ...today we humbly implore Thee for the soul of the servant ... that Thou wouldst command it (the soul of the departed) to be taken up by the holy angels, and to be led to the heavenly homeland ...
Catholics refer to Heaven as home. Catholics are Christian.
Non Catholics have no authority to criticize Catholicism when they do not understand it and have been told falsehoods concerning its teachings.
Many of the funeral mass prayers are from the book of Revelation
