His calendar hasn’t changed and neither has the Sabbath...
The Messiah was raised on the feast of first fruits, the 16th day of His calendar..it was the ‘first day of the work week’ as the 15th is always a Sabbath (and a high Sabbath in the first and seventh months with feasts).
(This year rssurrection day was a Gregorian Friday this year- not a Sunday)
The hint of His calendar is different than the world? It is how Passover and the feast of unleavened bread doesn’t match the world’s calendar and it falls on different gregorian days each year- but it is still the ‘14th and ‘15th’ of His calendar, regardless of the pope gregory date.. (the Jews use the moon and sun for just their feast months- the sun for all the rest)
And the majority in church ignores the ‘14th passover (death), the ‘15th unleveaned bread (burial) and ‘16th’ first fruits (resurrection) that the jews celebrate each year, found in Scripture, for their own good friday and easter,,
And then we as believers wonder why Jews reject their messiah..
But they see people, who believe in Him, ignore the feasts that play a part in His life, death and resurrection-for their own- all the while hear from us that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..
There is a disconnct there.and it isn’t the Jews doing it..
That disconnect happens because of the calculated calendars, like the pope’s calendar..
Thanks for the lecture.
I have no interest in faux jews.
That should have said “Jews”.
You know what I meant:
Bergdahl defects to the Taliban and the defector is made a hero
A Presbyterian pastor defects to the RCC and the defector is made a hero
A hero in your eyes, a defector and an apostate in mine
A hero in your eyes, a defector and an apostate in mine.
You're a mind reader now? Just because I thought his story was interesting, and thought other Catholics might enjoy it, does not mean he is my hero. I don't even know him.
I can see how all this affects you. Seriously, talk to some one about it so they can help you. And please avoid threads that seem controversial to you. Caucus threads are safe for the thin-skinned who can't deal with controversy.
This is getting sillier and sillier (”sillier,” is there such a word?) Have a good day, Al, bye now.
Say hello to momma...
‘Fake’ or not, they are human beings made in the image of God..
