e-s has made it quite clear in the past that we live according to the Law and then when we die, find out if we made it.

However, it has been pointed out that one cannot keep the Law in its entirety because there is no Temple or consecrated priesthood to offer the appropriate sacrifices.

So apparently he means keeping SOME of the Law, not all of it.

Sadly, I expect you have the right f it. It flies in the face of scripture, and tries to slap God in the face, but many folks feel quite put upon if THEY can’t do SOMETHING to earn their own way. In most earthly things that’s a good attitude, but it doesn’t work with God and Salvation. In that case, He rightly wants ALL the credit and Glory, and for me, I am quite happy to giveit to Him, since He saved MY sorry self!

You're squirming around just declaring Yeshua to be wrong.

Yes, his blood is necessary for anyone to be saved, but even with his blood most of creation will die.

The difference between that death and eternal life is sincere obedience in love for his commandments. That is what he said, and what all of his apostles said too.

He came to bring his elect to the Kingdom, and there is no admittance to the kingdom without the garment of righteousness.

Matthew 22:

[1] And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
[2] The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
[3] And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
[4] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
[5] But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
[6] And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
[7] But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
[8] Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
[9] Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
[10] So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
[11] And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
[12] And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
[13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
[14] For many are called, but few are chosen.

Grace gets you an invitation, but it is up to you to come in your spotless garment.

Nonsense. Grace supplies the garment as well.

We are clothed in the righteousness of Christ which has been credited to our account.

You are truly confused, and on the verge of worse!

Grace offers only the undeserved favor of the invitation to the wedding supper, for those that have kept their garment spotless.

It looks as if e-s is not willing to give up his long held false beliefs. I hope our conversation might have helped SOMEONE to see the light of God’s Truth.

There are always the lurkers.

The purpose of the Law was to lead us to Christ (Galatians 2) not as a means of salvation.

Romans 3:20-30 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
