How is he and idiot? Please give some examples.

For instance, I'll give you examples of what I think an idiot priest is:

1. A priest who tells atheists they can go to Heaven as long as they follow what their idea of "good" is. And everyone has their own idea of good.

2. A priest who is so ignorant of the Gospel, he thinks the good shepherd left one sheep to look for the lost ninety-nine.

3. A priest who thinks Jesus was talking about corrupt bankers/merchants when He spoke about the "millstone around the neck".

4. A priest who places a beachball against a tabernacle on the high altar.

Here's another blasphemy uttered by the Bishop of Rome. This time it's against Jesus Christ.

“In the Gospel, Jesus does not become angry, but pretends to when the disciples do not understand him,” the Pope explained, adding that at Emmaus Jesus says, “‘How foolish and slow of heart.’”

Thank you for your input on Jesus/Mary. It is refreshing to read something that is more in line with reality and less a worship of mortal humans. Making the distinction of when the New Covenant actually came into effect is something too many forget to do - they don't seem to understand that what Jesus, the Man, said, had to be IAW the law of the Old Covenant because that is the law He lived under. Because of this, they preach "Faith, not works" (parrot it maybe) but still insist on works/rituals as being necessary for salvation.

Perhaps you can add something to help me in my musings about another area.

I take the bit about all authority in heaven and on earth being given to Him to mean that He was, at that time leading up to the crucifixion, allowed to exert the full power of God as He wished and no longer relegated to just human attributes. I like thinking about it that way because it makes His sacrifice even more amazing - having the ability to stop it at a blink and still allowing Himself to be killed by sinners for the redemption of sinners.

The cretinous article makes two points:

1. That a fine statement about homosexuality: “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge” and “does [God] endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?” is not Catholic teaching. That is silly, to put it mildly. The Catholic teaching about God being love to all men is reflected in this. The “father” (where is he priest?) should know that.

2. That a statement that Mary perhaps was tempted and resisted temptation and did NOT say anything blasphemous is not Catholic. That is cretinous. For example, Christ was tempted.

Th article is so filled with ignorant anti-Catholic bile that it should not be necessary to condemn it. It condemns itself.

I agree with Pope Francis that when Jesus speaks in seeming anger in verse 25:

[25] ...he said to them: O foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all things which the prophets have spoken. [26] Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and so to enter into his glory? [27] And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures, the things that were concerning him.

... the actual emotion is clearly not anger as He takes time to "expound the scriptures" and later agrees to share the meal with them.

Please do explain why the leader of the Catholic Church would even suggest that Christ “pretended” anything.

Christ was not angry yet He used words that might indicate anger. That is clear from the Gospel. That is all His Holiness has said.

I am not going to argue about words in a translated document. To pretend means to give appearance of an emotion that is not there. Parents pretend anger all the time when they talk to children. If you think that is inappropriate for Jesus, that is your problem; seek help elsewhere.
