More likely since the 12th or 13th century.

The title of this thread is a joke and your opinion about the Catholic Church a bigger joke. Weren’t you on the Jimmy Swaggart’s panel the other day. He always has one guy on his discussion group that never opens his mouth except to blab on about how Catholics are not Christian.

But as long as you’re speaking of Satan, is it Satan or Jesus that is telling 98% of all blacks (protestant) to vote for Obama and 78% of all Jews.

The number of Catholics that voted for Romney dwarf any protestant denomination in the country. The only Catholic that would consider becoming a protestant are those Cafeteria catholics that never lived their faith to start with. They want to be able to do it “their way” instead of God’s way, whether that means aborting their children or “marrying” someone of the same sex. This is not possible in the Catholic Church, but alive and well in countless protestant denominations.

Have a nice day. And if you have any more jokes today, please post them. I need a good laugh.

“Ex-Catholics are mostly gays and what are known as “Cafeteria Catholics” They are willing to rejoin on “their” terms”.

Exactly. Read my post above.

Those who rejoice at the Catholics leaving the Church are devil worshippers, whether they admit it or not, whether they know it or not, whether they cover themselves with Jesus’ name or not

Meaning, those who rejoice at even liberal RCs becoming . Christ worshiping conservative evangelicals - which is an abundant number, and are likely part of the 74-79% or more who voted conservative in the recent Pres. elections, and are far more conservative than their Catholic counterparts and contend for our share common truths against cults - are devil worshipers.

And yet even Rome affirms baptized Prots as being part of the body of Christ.

Meaning consistent with Revolting cat!, the kingdom of includes devil worshippers, and the country needs more of them!

However, at least your revolting venomous opinion is consistent with so many of your past posts, and befitting the name you have chosen for yourself. Sad to say.

Why should befitting the name one chose be sad? Shouldn’t it be something to rejoice the same way that you rejoice your ugly fantasy of falling and failing Catholic Church, while worshipping (and denying it) the likes of Billy Grahams, Marjoe’s, Harold Camping? See # 122, and check an English dictionary for the meaning of the word ‘revolt’. (You do know what a ‘dictionary’ is?)

In fact there are no scriptures addressing a priesthood in the NT.

went to a parish (not my wife’s home one) last week where he priest said that Jesus had no idea he was God until maybe after the Resurrection. I asked him after the service to clarify what he meant, and he said “well, we really don’t think he had any idea.” He also said that he probably WASN’T all God for most of his life. Left me a bit stunned.

I see Kenosis has reached a parish near you.

And as stated those numbers are compared to what? The US population has doubled since the 60s. Therefore, the numbers you site show a proportional reduction.

Everyone is entitled to their OWN opinion, right NKP_Vet? Yes, they are but just not their own "facts". Although you may find great comfort in the false imagining that no "true" Catholic would ever leave the church of his birth and that those who have only did so because they were ignorant and/or wanted to be free to live according their own moral codes totally ignores that GENUINE Christians can and DO leave Roman Catholicism for a more true and personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ. That they are substantially more moral and Conservative than the majority in Catholicism is a fact that is proven over and over in every objective study ever developed. Hate to burst that bubble of yours, but Roman Catholics have equal rates of abortion, divorce and extra/per-marital sex as those in the general population as well as homosexual clergy and pedophilia. As a matter of fact, in every measurable moral category, Roman Catholics do NOT demonstrate better or higher moral choices or lifestyles than other religious traditions or even the unchurched. If someone wanted to live according to their own morality (i.e., the Kennedy family, the Kerry's, the Pelousi's, etc.), they can do so while remaining right where they are in a church that blusters on record of a strict code but, for all practical purposes, gives a wink and a nod to the unChristian way of life of "her" children.

What you claim is "not possible in the Catholic Church" IS there and to deny it only shows a willful ignorance or a head buried in the sand outlook. It is laughable how such an oblivious, unaware and blissful dream world so many occupy these days.

And if your buddy wants to “marry” his partner, he has only go down to any PROTESTANT episcopal church in the country and a openly homosexual priest, will do the honors. Also Presbyterians, Lutherans, Methodists, all will do the honors.
How many Catholic Churches will “marry” sodomites? The answer. NONE. That immoral garbage is left up to various PROTESTANT faiths.

Not a shred of Scriptural support for the *hospital for sinners* paradigm.

The body of Christ is comprised of saints who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ and are saved.

They are not victims. They are saints with the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit to give them everything they need.

Believers in this country are such a bunch of wusses who need their hands held and to be doted on.

I don’t know how a letter Francis sends to atheists telling them to follow their conscience can be spun another way.

Another opinion based on what? At least cite a canon or council or scriptures to support your assertion.

If not your comments are merely emotional reaction.

As a white Protestant early 18th century American (United Methodist) I have nothing against other cultural or religious beliefs, but as a USA majority demographic I definitely do not want ruled by them.

I want my cultural beliefs represented at the table of justice and in Congress and in Cabinet positions and at the Ivy League universities where the candidate pool for these high level positions originates.

Perhaps more of us need to demand a seat at the table instead of being forced to ride at the back of the bus.
