So there's no time before the big bang.

No, only the Eternal Now (God Time.)

As T.S. Eliot tells us:

What might have been is an abstraction
Remaining a perpetual possibility
Only in a world of speculation.
What might have been and what has been
Point to one end, which is always present.

Interesting article. I don’t agree with some of what the author says, but on the basic point of existence vs. non-existence of God, his argument is solid as can be.
