“I play by MY rules”
So where does your government check fit in here, in the grand scheme?
Maybe it should be “I play by MY rules, through blessings from God, Who gives me other people’s money”
That’s the problem with the “Blessing from God” theory you’ve posited here with this thread - you lose the humility that you should have for the taxpayers that pay for the benefits you receive - because you mistakenly think “God did it”.

Congratulations for not being stuck on the bottom tier of the "pyramid" and getting the $$$ human representatives "promised" you. So let us get this straight, if we vote for candidates spouting irresponsible and insane economic government programs (That does not produce interest, just theft from the current taxpayers per one "customer" stuck on the bottom of a vicious pyramid like scheme) we can achieve Christian Utopia and greater blessings from God?
Tell us, will it be a blessing or a curse that children today are paying for (The Debt) over-bloated promises given to voters today? Did you pay in the exact amount of total expenditures (Working) for all your combined amount of government benefits you will receive? Did you vote for candidates who promise/protect more/your government goodies? If so, you are just blinded by coercion on top of being a:
I am glad you received help, but your perspective of the type of "blessing" used by what you say was God, serves a destructive force upon my children, their children, and on and on... because those types of blessings can't economically sustain society.
I guess earthly Churches have surrendered their responsibility towards widows and your family along with your offspring's family (Read Ruth) etc.
3 Honor widows who are widows indeed; 4 but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
5 Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone, has fixed her hope on God and continues in centreaties and prayers night and day. 6 But she who gives herself to wanton pleasure is dead even while she lives. 7 Prescribe these things as well, so that they may be above reproach. 8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, 10 having a reputation for good works; and if she has brought up children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints feet, if she has assisted those in distress, and if she has devoted herself to every good work. 11 But refuse to put younger widows on the list, for when they feel sensual desires in disregard of Christ, they want to get married, 12 thus incurring condemnation, because they have set aside their previous pledge.
13 At the same time they also learn to be idle, as they go around from house to house; and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, talking about things not proper to mention. 14 Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, bear children, keep house, and give the enemy no occasion for reproach; 15 for some have already turned aside to follow Satan. 16 If any woman who is a believer has dependent widows, she must assist them and the church must not be burdened, so that it may assist those who are widows indeed.
...and passed their burden onto the taxpayers and a secular government. God Help us indeed...

"You must have a LOT of time on your hands to search for these statements and take the time to post here."
It took me less time to copy those links than it did for JimRob to write and post them, or for you to respond to them.

If you:
Excerpt your blog thus attempt to divert traffic from this site to yours in order to finish the “juicy” opinions/story, you are a blog pimp, end of story.

Thanks Mr, Engineer!
When I first posted on this thread I was undecided whether to address the blog pimping going on here or the rather bizarre theology expressed by the OP. I chose the former in deference to the fact that my good FRiend Larry pinged me here.
Your succinct analysis has pointed out that they really are two faces of the same issue, namely taking a "free ride" on someone else's dime.
Whether it manifests as using a resource paid for by others for personal gain or playing a system built on the efforts of those whose wealth has been illegally (and immorally) confiscated, it's really the same mindset in action.
Thanks again for a good theological insight.

I will no longer post from my blog here, excerpted or not. A tragic loss to us all, we shall endeavor to persevere.

YOu will be proud of me: I just posted a story that I did NOT excerpt. Unfortunately, since I am not schooled in HTML, the story is not as effective here as it is on my blog. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you as well and may God protect you as well as your family.
BTW, I think you were legitimately not in the “know” about exerting your articles. Most threads that are posted are exerted and linked, so one would think every article is posted in the same way by bloggers; but there are some bloggers who are disingenuous about trying to direct traffic to their blog. I don't think you are one of those disingenuous bloggers.
