In any event, it appears the papacy is coming to an end as the last or next to last Pope now reigns according to a vision of the 12th‑century bishop of Armagh in Ireland, Saint Malachy.

I'm curious as to what this means for the Church...

It seems to be a waste of time to post to a pagan Dagon Good Friday worshiper, But one more time, Why would Christ say three days and three nights so many times if he meant a day and a half?

Calling the Lord a liar is bad manners, unless you bow to the Satanic priests that wear the fish hats.

To deliberately misrepresent the words of another is a sin, a willful sin.

Rood clearly shows that Yeshua was in the tomb for the 5th, 6th, and 7th days, and was not in the tomb on the 1st day. That makes three days and nights

The first day is, in fact, a celebration of the fact that he was not in the tomb.

Eat another sun worship cookie, and bow to Constantine/Jupiter/Tammuz.

There was something else you slipped in, during one of your rants, that I wanted to call you on:

It matters because cultists like rood, the way, mormons, seventh day adventists, herbert armstrong, jehovah witnesses, etc [JEWS Perhaps?]. use hard verses like Matthew 12:40 to attack the Church and make it easier for them to lead people astray with the following FALSE DOCTRINES:

denying the Divinity of Christ
denying the Trinity
keeping the 7th Day Sabbath
salvation by works and not grace

FYI:

Constantine decreed (March 7, 321) dies Solis—day of the sun, "Sunday"—as the Roman day of rest:

On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits because it often happens that another day is not suitable for grain-sowing or vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.

Constantine's triumphal arch was carefully positioned to align with the colossal statue of Sol by the Colosseum, so that Sol formed the dominant backdrop when seen from the direction of the main approach towards the arch.

Rood stated that Constatine was a Sun God worshiper until the day he died. After seeing a number of coins Constatine had minted with his face on one side and Sol on the other, I tend to agree.

Coin of Emperor Constantine I depicting Sol Invictus with the legend SOLI INVICTO COMITI, circa 315.

So, who is "following FALSE DOCTRINES" concerning the keeping of the Sabbath?

>> “It matters because cultists...” <<

.
A catholic speaking of cults is the ultimate irony, is it not!

The cult of necromancers, Maryolatry, indulgeances, slavation by works, sun worship, idolatry rampant in every catholic church.

They have to fight the biblical 3 day 3 night burial to protect their Dagon worship on good friday (instituted by Constantine).

Their “denying the trinity” line is so amusing, since they throw it at those with the greatest understanding of the trinity.

“Why would Christ say three days and three nights so many times if he meant a day and a half?”

i previously explained this, but am happy to do again. Jesus did not mean a day and a half by three days and three nights, he meant three days. the term three days and three nights to a 1st century Jew would be taken to mean three days, which is exactly what Jesus meant and it is exactly consistent with all of the other Scriptures.

i have showed over and over, that to the Jews, any part of a day is the same as the whole day. we count days the same way today. if a baby is born two seconds before midnight on 12/31, the baby is treated as if it was alive the whole day of 12/31,even though it was only alive two seconds.

now, you accuse me of calling the Lord a liar. show proof that i ever said the Lord is a liar, or show yourself to be what you falsely accuse me of being.

rood is an ignorant man and i congratulate E-S and errant on declaring “no mas” as trying to defend rood and his foolishness.

rood clearly states Yeshua was placed in the grave on the 4TH DAY AND WAS IN THE GRAVE THE 4TH, 5TH, 6TH AND 7TH DAYS.

for those in rio linda land, that makes 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH, WHICH VIOLATES THE LITERAL WORDS OF JESUS OF THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS.

rood completely ignores the 4th day in his calculation, even though it was the day he claims Jesus died and was buried. if anyone doubts me on this, listen to disk four.

notice that no one wants to deal with Luke 24. not rood, and certainly not any of his toadies on here who just parrot what rood says without checking the Scriptures themselves.

Luke 24 shows the disciples stating the first day of the week was THE THIRD DAY SINCE JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED. THE SCRIPTURES TELL US OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT JESUS WOULD RISE ON THE THIRD DAY, SO WE KNOW WITH 100% CONFIDENCE, THAT JESUS ROSE ON THE FIRST DAY OF HE WEEK.

notice also neither rood, nor the parrots can deal with how the Scriptures show we are to count days in Exodus 19, Luke 13 and Acts 10.

SO ONCE WE REALIZE JESUS ROSE ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, WE CAN KNOW WITH 100% CONFIDENCE THAT HE DIED ON THE SIXTH DAY OF THE WEEK AT 3:00PM.

rood is a con man, and not a very smart one at that.

you would do yourself well if you studied the NT and Church History, you would discover the following facts:

1. no baptized Christian ( Jew nor Gentile ) ever kept the 7th day sabbath after the first Pentecost.
2. no Christian was ever commanded to keep the 7th day sabbath in the NT.
3. we know from 1st and 2nd century documents ( the Didache, Justin Martyr, etc. ) the Church worshipped on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week on which He rose from the dead, and did not keep the 7th day sabbath.
4. Constantine was a Roman Emperor and not the Bishop of Rome. As such, he had NO AUTHORITY over doctrinal matters.
5. Constantine’s 3/21 edict was a civil document and had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH CHRISTIAN WORSHIP. THE CHURCH WAS ALREADY GATHERING ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK SINCE 33AD TO WORSHIP, HUNDREDS OF YEARS BEFORE CONSTANTINE WAS EVEN BORN.

just because rood is ignorant, there is no reason you need to be also.

Your devious nonsense is beyond bearable.

He was placed in the grave at the end of the 4th, not the beginning.

One would have to use your pagan talmudic nonsense to turn the 4th day into one of the days. We stick with the Bible, and Yeshua, because we are Biblical Christians, not Takanot following pagans like yourself.

I can see why you’d prefer Talmud to the Bible, since you embrace the false church founded by the authors of the Takanotim and Talmud.

Constantine, your Lord was very much like Harrod; its a good fit.

That is ignorantly and totally false.

For the first two centuries, no Christian failed to keep the sabbath.

The sabbath is commanded at the creation, and never rescinded; it is merely a question of whether one wishes to obey the Lord, or go rogue. Sunday worship is totally pagan and instituted by the pagan emperor Constantine in the 4th century.

Sunday worship is a highway to the broad gate of destruction. Constantine had the full cooperation of the nicolaitans that ruled the “catholic’ disobedience in Rome.

“He was placed in the grave at the end of the 4th, not the beginning”

at the end of the 4th day, is still the fourth day. you can’t escape it or ignore it.

rood places Jesus in the grave the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th day, FOUR DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS.

if Jesus died on the 4th day, the first day of the week in Luke 24 would be the fifth day since He died, when the Bible is very clear Jesus rose on the third day!!

this is what makes rood ignorant, he doesn’t understand how the Bible counts days.

but the parrots love the lie more than the truth, don’t they?

As many as are persuaded and believe that what we teach and say is true, and undertake to be able to live accordingly, are instructed to pray and to entreat God with fasting, for the remission of their sins that are past, we praying and fasting with them. Then they are brought by us where there is water, and are regenerated in the same manner in which we were ourselves regenerated. For, in the name of God, the Father and Lord of the universe, and of our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, they then receive the washing with water. For Christ also said, “Except ye be born again, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Now, that it is impossible for those who have once been born to enter into their mothers’ wombs, is manifest to all. And how those who have sinned and repent shall escape their sins, is declared by Esaias the prophet, as I wrote above; he thus speaks: “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from your souls; learn to do well; judge the fatherless, and plead for the widow: and come and let us reason together, saith the Lord. And though your sins be as scarlet, I will make them white like wool; and though they be as crimson, I will make them white as snow. But if ye refuse and rebel, the sword shall devour you: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.” And for this rite we have learned from the apostles this reason. Since at our birth we were born without our own knowledge or choice, by our parents coming together, and were brought up in bad habits and wicked training; in order that we may not remain the children of necessity and of ignorance, but may become the children of choice and knowledge, and may obtain in the water the remission of sins formerly committed, there is pronounced over him who chooses to be born again, and has repented of his sins, the name of God the Father and Lord of the universe; he who leads to the layer the person that is to be washed calling him by this name alone. For no one can utter the name of the ineffable God; and if any one dare to say that there is a name, he raves with a hopeless madness. And this washing is called illumination, because they who learn these things are illuminated in their understandings. And in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, who through the prophets foretold all things about Jesus, he who is illuminated is washed. Its imitation by demons And the devils, indeed, having heard this washing published by the prophet, instigated those who enter their temples, and are about to approach them with libations and burnt-offerings, also to sprinkle themselves; and they cause them also to wash themselves entirely, as they depart from the sacrifice, before they enter into the shrines in which their images are set. And the command, too, given by the priests to those who enter and worship in the temples, that they take off their shoes, the devils, learning what happened to the above-mentioned prophet Moses, have given in imitation of these things. For at that juncture, when Moses was ordered to go down into Egypt and lead out the people of the Israelites who were there, and while he was tending the flocks of his maternal uncle in the land of Arabia, our Christ conversed with him under the appearance of fire from a bush, and said, “Put off thy shoes, and draw near and hear.” And he, when he had put off his shoes and drawn near, heard that he was to go down into Egypt and lead out the people of the Israelites there; and he received mighty power from Christ, who spoke to him in the appearance of fire, and went down and led out the people, having done great and marvellous things; which, if you desire to know, you will learn them accurately from his writings. Baptism and the consecration of the Eucharist But we, after we have thus washed him who has been convinced and has assented to our teaching, bring him to the place where those who are called brethren are assembled, in order that we may offer hearty prayers in common for ourselves and for the baptized illuminated person, and for all others in every place, that we may be counted worthy, now that we have learned the truth, by our works also to be found good citizens and keepers of the commandments, so that we may be saved with an everlasting salvation. Having ended the prayers, we salute one another with a kiss. There is then brought to the president of the brethren bread and a cup of wine mixed with water; and he taking them, gives praise and glory to the Father of the universe, through the name of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and offers thanks at considerable length for our being counted worthy to receive these things at His hands. And when he has concluded the prayers and thanksgivings, all the people present express their assent by saying Amen. This word Amen answers in the Hebrew language to genoito so be it. And when the president has given thanks, and all the people have expressed their assent, those who are called by us deacons give to each of those present to partake of the bread and wine mixed with water over which the thanksgiving was pronounced, and to those who are absent they carry away a portion. The Eucharist And this food is called among us Eucharist, of which no one is allowed to partake but the man who believes that the things which we teach are true, and who has been washed with the washing that is for the remission of sins, and unto regeneration, and who is so living as Christ has enjoined. For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Saviour, having been made flesh by the Word of God, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh. For the apostles, in the memoirs composed by them, which are called Gospels, have thus delivered unto us what was enjoined upon them; that Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, said, “This do ye in remembrance of Me, this is My body;” and that, after the same manner, having taken the cup and given thanks, He said, “This is My blood;” and gave it to them alone. Which the wicked devils have imitated in the mysteries of Mithras, commanding the same thing to be done. For, that bread and a cup of water are placed with certain incantations in the mystic rites of one who is being initiated, you either know or can learn. Weekly worship of the Christians And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration. read what Justin Martyr wrote mid 2nd century of how Christians worshipped! educate yourself.

More twisting!

The sabbath was in effect from creation until Constantine.

It didn’t need to be reinstituted by Christ since he declared that he would neither add to nor take away from Torah. Christianity as from Christ and his apostles was merely a fulfilled continuance of YHWH’s commanded worship so the restored covenant church just continued with it until corruption set in.

All worship mentioned in the NT is Sabbath centered worship, and all kept the Lord’s appointed times without interruption. I challenge you to find any time where they didn’t. All “first day” worship ever mentioned was at Havdala, which was just a short time after sunset (on what you would call saturday night) That was when they “came together on the first day”.

the prior post didn’t print as i expected, so i copied the part of Justin’s apology where he descibes why Christians worship on the first day of the week.

here’s a hint, since Constantine is not born for over 100 years later, how can you say he introduced Sunday worship??

is our educational system really this bad???
