Exactly. It would’ve been unthinkable for 1st century Jews in Palestine to think homosexual behavior was acceptable. That’s why the “Jesus never directly mentioned the word homosexuality, therefore he supports it” argument is so fallacious. In the Bible, Jesus never said a word about internet pornography, identity theft, the Nazi holocaust, Mao Tse-Tung’s Cultural Revolution or the 9-11 terrorist attacks either. Does that mean He was OK with these things? Of course not. Arguments from silence are among the most fallacious.
