My response :
The Sunday and Holy Day threads presented by me are not my opinion, they are the root of my religion.
Each entry is anchored in the Holy Word of God. Each entry has the same authority as that which was bestowed upon the Blessed Apostles at Pentecost by the Holy Ghost - taught to bring believers into what came to be the Catholic Church in the first century A.D.
Similarly, Sacred Dogma comes to the faithful from the Holy Ghost through Gods Vicar on Earth, the Pope. To be a Catholic one must accept and follow the Word of God and the spiritual instruction and direction of those who properly sit on the Chair of Peter. To believe otherwise is not to be a Catholic. To attempt to deny, subvert, or redirect Sacred Dogma is an unforgivable sin, and subject to eternal damnation. There is no alternative ; no revision permitted to the Word of God or His Sacred Dogma. Likewise, one is, or is not, a Catholic, a Mormon, a Lutheran, a Presbyterian, a Southern Baptist, a Pentecostal or any one of the whole umbrella of Protestantism.
Changing the breeding of a species intrepidly alters who they are and how they behave. In this instance one may review Catholicism and affirm their belief or confirm their abstention. Its a taking a horse to water, but you cant make them drink situation. Nothing covert here. Contrarily, its as transparent as wed like our government to be.
For the past seven years - May 2005 to May 2012 ( a grand total of 364 Sunday threads - without counting weekday holy days i.e., Ash Wednesdays and Good Fridays during this time period ) I have published Roman Catholic Dogma here without a single catfight.
Who and for what honest reason would want to put a ripple in still water now ???
With rare exception, FReepers, given their common level of tolerance and perception, recognize Catholic Dogma when they read it, leaving self serving cheap shots to very small fraction of small minded progressive Catholics. I have always abstained from debating the Word of God and His Sacred Dogma for to do so is sin. One is a believer, or is not a believer.
Free will is what it is. But, we must always be careful not to take free will lightly. The payback is not forgiving.
Are you say the religion moderator is editing out segments of OUR VERY MASS?
If so, it's goes it's an absolute outrage that goes FAR beyond any of the many outrages he's committed in the past.
If it is in fact the same man who RUINED what once was a bustling religion forum. In fact I haven't been in here for years. He's why.
The content of the thread disqualifies it from such protections, e.g. by calling Protestants "heretics" the Protestants have an interest in speaking for themselves.
I would point out that someone copying and pasting static text from a missal is not "calling" anyone anything, but functionally intelligent people usually figure things like this out for themselves.
Thanks for the correction and the reminder of exactly how the FR religion forum was single-handedly turned into a Potemkin village.
Everyone posting on the Religion Forum abides by these same guidelines. The Novus Ordo Mass is posted within the guidelines.
Oh look, our liturgies (i.e. immutable, utterly impossible to edit) don't fit within your idiosyncratic little "guidelines." They are what they are. It's our RELIGION. This is the RELIGION forum.
You, as always, are quite the piece of work. Now you're down to picking exactly which Catholic Masses are appropriate for Free Republic?
Amazing.
Not sure if you're aware of it, but you (nearly single handedly) have heaped huge amounts of scorn on Free Republic from some very influential circles. I know this FIRST HAND.
And spare everyone the fair-handed moderator show. Your inexcusable treatment of constituencies such as traditional Cathlolics and the conservative Calvinists has done to FR what the leftist have done to America - killed it's Christian core.
As I said two posts earlier, the issue was whether the Religion Forum thread is protected from debate like an RF thread labeled "devotional" and/or non-Catholics disagreeing with statements made, like a "Catholic Caucus".
Digs at other beliefs disqualifies RF threads from a protected status, i.e. "caucus" "devotional" "prayer" "ecumenical." Therefore, it is an "open" RF thread.
I'm just going to apologize leave you to your business.
God bless you.
