“If you want to be ignorant, that’s your choice but I wouldn’t post it for all to see.”

Ignorance is intolerance of other religions, and the assertion that one should not vote for someone based on religion alone.

This thread is going to live in infamy as one that embodies stupidity and ignorance like no other I’ve seen.

It should be deleted, and those who espouse religious discrimination as I’ve seen here today on this thread should be ashamed of themselves.

“That you would advocate for a cult to control the Office of the Presidency is insanity.”

You have made a gross extrapolation.

Like opinion polls, respondents self-describe themselves. Which means their descriptions actually have almost no meaning.

George W. Bush, for example, in several interviews after leaving office, revealed beliefs that contradict traditional Christian teaching. But even those who saw the interviews are reluctant to be honest about what he actually said. Like a Mormon, if he says he’s a Christian, then he must be a Christian!

Ignorance is intolerance of other religions

Mormonism isn't a Christian religion. Are you then saying that we should also consider electing a Moslem as President in the name of tolerance?

“What’s your problem - got cracker crumbs in your underwear?”

I assure you that you would feel quite comfortable voting for me based on my religion alone.

You are free to vote whomever you wish.
Keep up.

I have stated it exactly. Either you know nothing about Mormonism or you are one.

There is, however, an amendment to the constitution that absolutely restricts the government from abridging or intruding into our God-given rights to freedom of speech and the free exercise of our religion!! Not to mention the unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness!! Government at all levels now freely tramples on these rights and the trampling is encouraged by our black robed rulers!! There is a point where we say NO MORE!!

I’m not saying that non-Christians are not free to run for office. But I am saying that the government running roughshod over our God-given unalienable rights must end or we will no longer be a free nation!!

Ignore history at your peril.

LOL Right after they deal with voter ID and allowing only Blacks to subdue the vote with weapons.

That's why I'm asking questions, Is there another way. A complaint form, an Conservative Judge who would listen to a legitimate complaint (First we need to find someone who knows what the rules are and everyone around here seems to be doing speculation)

Jim has provided us this excellent home base. From it,We've encourage people to support Newt, we've tried to get people to call the RNC re: FL Fiasco. We've asked questions to Vet Romney completely. We're trying to get a group together to help get messages off these boards and to the rest of the world.......Don't know how many here have joined us, But I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit back and just let the MSM and the Bishop walk into the office of the Presidency without a fight.

When I taught, the teachers would sit around the lunch room complaining. One day I got sick of hearing about it, got up went to the office and explained the situation to someone who could solve the problem. It was solved that afternoon.

IN other words, We shouldn't be sitting around complaining without DOING!

“Are you then saying that we should also consider electing a Moslem as President in the name of tolerance? “

Are you saying that religion should exclusively dictate how we treat other Americans, and their ability to participate in our democracy?

Go, Newt!

" I have two grandchildren: Maggie is 11; Robert is 9. I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they're my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American."

“I’m not saying that non-Christians are not free to run for office.”

There is nothing I disagree with in your reply to me, especially the above.

You do know that there are a number of posters who actively disagree with the quote above on this very thread.

This thread attacks the very core of credibility of this board that you have worked to build for so long. It is truly insane.

Everything about any candidate is fair game for discussion and judgement. Their beliefs in every field including religion are relevant. I never hinted or said “religion alone” but you are for some reason fixated on this, I have no idea why (nor do I care).

You should care. Freedom of religion is core to who we are as Americans.

There are folks on this thread that say BECAUSE Romney is a Mormon, he should not be elected.

Your lesson for today:

John Hancock

It is the Happiness of his Church that, when the Powers of Earth and Hell combine against it...that the Throne of Grace is of the easiest access--and its Appeal thither is graciously invited by the Father of Mercies, who has assured it, that when his Children ask Bread he will not give them a Stone....... We Recognize No Sovereign but God and No King but Jesus

James Madison

We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.

And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
