Yes it is true I confess that I have a major problem with lust.
But, by the grace of God and the power of Jesus Christ’s salvation I know that when I stand before the Allmighty I will be blamless and as pure as the driven snow in His eyes.
And by the power of the Holy Spirit I have been able to change my lusful habits and gain a sense of control and authority over my own wanton desires. By trusting in him and using strategies learned from other brothers in Crist I have been improving every year since we got married.
Allthough I don’t know if I will ever be able to fully expunge lustfullness from myself I do trust in Christ that he will equip me to deal with it and I know that his death has already won ultimate victory over my sins and yours!
At the same time, the mormons' public face probably encourages more virginity among women, so that's another factor in the porn rate. The churchgoing rate in Utah is only 51 percent, so they can't be held responsible for all "jack Mormons" either.
Curiously enough, the original story was used to smear all conservatives despite there being "little variation in consumption between states." We're talking a difference between 2 per 1,000 and 5 per 1,000.
Catholics like me used to be a lot better at combating indecency, and we only did it because the WASPs stopped upholding standards. Now it seems like the LDS are the only ones left. I'm glad someone at least cares. And maybe the Utah porn rate would be even smaller if the rest of us were better at shunning it.
