There have always been the teen "hearthrobs" that aren't the most masculine looking. He may have a lot of flaws, but I thought it was nice to hear despite his popularity that he is a Christian and I hope some of that rubs off on his fans.
Young men’s appearance matures at different ages; some look like a man at 16, and some at 30. (I think 50-55 is the ideal age for gentlemen ;-).
It’s encouraging to see a young star being open about his faith and trying to be a good example ... and I don’t think not always behaving perfectly makes him a hypocrite or a phony. I have yet to meet the Christian, of any age, who is always perfect.
You've probably heard about Christian firing squads. They stand in a circle. :-)
We can be so critical we forget to look at the positive. Every Christian stumbles.
LOL!
"Conservative" firing squads, as well. A dozen people on the North Carolina forum tried to come up with a definition of "conservatism" that included all of us. We gave up after about six weeks and went back to fighting about barbecue and sports.
That's great, just let me be the final judge of the barbecue.
I think its step in the right direction that its a girl hes kissing.
My thoughts, exactly.
Cheers,
OLA
Barbecue discussions in NC are very dangerous, especially when beer is involved. They all said “Nyah” at me, because I don’t really care for pork barbecue no matter how it’s done.
I’m up in the midwest. Our barbecue is pretty average compared to the stuff in the south. It’s too bad you don’t like pork.
I like pork prepared some ways, but not in what is known as “barbecue” around here
In the midst of one round of ‘cue hostilities, I got a recipe from a FReeper for a crockpot “barbecue” using a bone-in pork shoulder. (These were $.69 a pound at the time, sigh.) I cooked it, and then made a giant pot of pinto beans using the drippings and the bone, and took it to the homeless mission at our church. One elderly black gentleman said it was just like being at home with his granny, which must have been about 1942! Not bad local cooking, from a crazy woman who puts maple syrup on grits.
