Your link in 130 does not go to any papal encyclicals, it goes back to the top of this thread.

Are you playing some sort of game?

What word games? I’m guessing you have a hard time with poetry too . . .

"The problem you have with your little scenario there is that every time I site something the RCC believes it comes from official RCC sources. Deny all you want but if you don’t know what the RCC really says and stands for you need to study what it says."

The problem you have is that you are at best a casual student of Catholicism and come to it with anti-Catholic biases. You bring to us what you believe to be an incriminating snippet and present it out of context in which it was developed.

Such superficial condemnation will never turn a single Catholic away from the one true Church, but will expose the emptiness of the anti-Catholic belief.

Putting up fake link in 130 to verify your statements is not going to work, as an argument.

Jesus came to us through Mary ergo, all grace and truth came to us through Mary. For without Mary, Jesus would not be human and it was as a human that God chose to come to us.

I have said it before and will say it again and again and again so that maybe one of you here will understand and stop lying about what the church teaches regarding Mary.

Mary is who she is because Jesus is who He is.

All prayers, praise and titles directed to Mary come to her because she was chosen by God to bear His Son.

All prayers, praise and titles directed to Mary are in fact prayers, praise and titles directed to God since she is His daughter and His creation and it is in her that we see what God has ready for us all.

All of the condemnation I have read from certain posters has only succeeded in making me more happy to be Catholic.

And meanwhile I don’t have to hold in contempt or be condescending towards the faith beliefs of my good Protestant parents and relatives.

Very interesting this use of the ECFs to try to support your version of “Sola Scriptura”. I imagine that within a very short time we can expect you to also use them in defense of the Eucharist, the Church hierarchy, Mary, Mother of God and so on........

I agree. I know and love many Protestants and know many to truly be Christians in both faith and works. However, there is an ungodly cabal of anti-Catholics who exist on FR only to besmirch the Church. As hard as I try, barring a catharsis and a demonstration of contrition by them, I cannot find a place in my heart for them.

I’m not sure why that link isn’t working. It didn’t work for me when I clicked on it either. It did work however when I copied it and pasted it into the address bar. I’m sure you tried that before you accused me of posting a fake url tho right. Trying to be honest and all? Here’s the site again. Copy and paste it as I am obviously doing something wrong in the post to make it clickable.

Of course I tried it. It went right back to the top of the thread page.

Thanks for the new link, it’s a good one. I almost always click on links, unless it’s obviously from someone advertising their blog, because most links are good ones and add to the thread.

Catholics only accept writing vetted by the Vatican.

Well then that sure explains why many catholics are handicapped in their understanding....I'll assume "vetted" is a soft sell on censorship.

"Well then that sure explains why many catholics are handicapped in their understanding..."

With well over a billion Catholics world wide even an extremely small percentage equates to "many", particularly when compared to the dying denominations, lesbian clergy, and fading storefront churches that epitomize the fringes of Protestantism that is so overly represented here in the Religion Forum.

Stating that it has been provided "dozens of times" does not make it so.

...denying it's been provided.."dozens of times"..simply attests to the fact the blinders remain in place to the truth.

Reading the mind of another Freeper is a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

Mary is who she is because Jesus is who He is.

Well that's not exactly accurate...Mary is who she was because God appointed her for that role of giving birth to Christ. But it is His birth, and His life we celebrate for He died a physical death but arose from the dead on our behalf...He is the only Savior. ....................Mary died a physical death, she did not rise from the dead and walk among us as He did....and she surely did not shed her blood for our sins. Rather she is home with the Lord.

If you're trying to use numbers to validate your statement remember....the thousands who also gave us Obama and were similarly mislead by the media. Therefore I will indeed say "many" catholics lack understanding for the reason Rome limits their access to literature outside that of the catholic faith.

Oops. The “you” was supposed to denote Catholics in general. That has been stated often. I’ll try to be more careful. It certainly wasn’t my intent to denigrate anyone personally.

If you don’t use HTML, the link shows up as just a clickable link.

If you use HTML, like for doing italics, then you have to enter code for the link to work.

When I want to include a link, I just don’t use HTML. I find it easier than trying to remember the “ahref” code to make active links.
