They are examples of the fact that the prayers are TO Mary FOR things.
Catholics claim that they merely ask Mary to pray for them.
These prayers TO her FOR her to do things for them, show that that is not true.
FWIW, I object to all of what’s in them. They are full of unscriptural lies.
How are you going to accomplish that??? The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is already in my home and has been since the day I received Him into my heart/soul as my Savior...But you're still waiting??? What's up with that??? You only get this blessing for that 20 minutes that the Lord is in your digestive tract???
They can not understand the indwelling presence of Christ. They have to keep doing things to have Him come only to leave again and have to do it over..
You mean that God is not eternal?
Is His mother then?
Hey chubby, you ask:
Honey, would you mind giving us the link to the OFFICIAL INFALLIBLE magisterium community of the entire bible ???
Who gave you the odd idea that such a thing exists?
The best you can do is try to nail her on the definition of a word?
Pathetic......
“If you think it’s in there, show us verses that you found to the contrary.”
Sure.
The Bible directs us to invoke those in heaven and ask them to pray with us. Thus in Psalms 103, we pray, “Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!” (Ps. 103:20-21). And in Psalms 148 we pray, “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!” (Ps. 148:1-2).
Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: “[An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God” (Rev. 8:3-4).
And those in heaven who offer to God our prayers arent just angels, but humans as well. John sees that “the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints” (Rev. 5:8). The simple fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.
That’s the best you can do? LOL!!
Another MASSIVE fail!
You shouldn't talk that way about the Catechism of the Catholic church.
Scripture only supports that those who achieve (yes, I said achieve) Salvation will have their souls continue for eternity in the presence of the Lord. Those who are not saved will perish.
And as yet, you have failed to provide one Scripture to support that position.
Here's your chance.
In the Ot only the priest could enter into the Holy of holies.. but the curtain was rent and now we all can enter in and come to the thrown of God ..
We have the privilege to offer praise and offer off ourselves and our lives as living sacrifices..no longer needed the blood of the lamb
That very gift of the priesthood of the believer removes the need for a priesthood to offer sacrifices..
Nope - not on “the definition of a word”; rather, on her made up falsity used in place of the real definition to “prove” her lies about the Pope.
“You think someone needs athority to read something and notice what’s written in it and what’s not written in it?”
See you claim Holy Writ says one thing, refuse any authority for that claim. I show you where it makes your claim false. This is why proddys fail, again and again. They think they have read the Word and understand it. Instead they read what they want, change the meanings of words (vicar on this thread) and then high five each other. Or play games with heresies condemned by the Universal Church for centuries and pretend to greatness that way. Sad.
Man does your interpreting of Scripture - and your massive fail is obvious on this thread.
God’s Word is spiritually discerned - and that is totally out of your range.
That doesn't say that at all. It's got nothing to do with praying TO them.
Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: [An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God (Rev. 8:3-4).
It still isn't telling us to pray to them. The saints in heaven are praying, but it gives NO other information other than that. It doesn't tell us that they are doing it at our behest. It just says that they are praying.
And those in heaven who offer to God our prayers arent just angels, but humans as well. John sees that the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints (Rev. 5:8). The simple fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.
Again, that is not instruction for us to pray to them asking that they do anything for us.
Fail all the way around.
We are forbidden to contact those who have died on this planet and are dead in the body to us. That has never been rescinded.
Besides, what do you think that they are going to do for us that God Himself can't or won't do when we ask Him ourselves? Why don't Catholics obey Jesus' teaching and pray only to God the Father in the manner in which He taught us. Isn't that good enough for you all?
FWIW, I reject sola scriptura.
go off your meds again?
Quix, I stopped taking you seriously a long time ago, mainly because of your posts regarding UFOs.
Your argument is with St. Peter, not with me.
